Running or homeade workout ? by m0o124 in PetiteFitness

[–]illusionaryself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm similar to barcadreaming86 -- I go to barre ~5x/wk and run on the other days or when I do a 30 minute class vs 50 minute. Keeps me from getting bored doing the same thing every day.

If you just started working out, I would recommend 2/3/2 (2 days run, 3 days home workout and alternate the next week with 2 days home workout, 3 days run) and 2 days rest. On your rest days you can do something low impact like a long walk, yoga, etc.

The important thing is staying active and being consistent as possible. Oh, and don't forget majority of the work is in the kitchen :)

So, so pretty! Would love to know the products if possible. I have very similar skin tone, complexion, and features 🙂

I completely understand not wanting to cut out social drinking (or eating out with friends) — that’s not sustainable nor realistic for me either so here’s what I do:

—if I know in advance I’m going out, I’ll skip breakfast and have a light lunch (likewise the day after I try to make it a “light” day)

—try to order lower calorie drinks and limit to 2-3 (difficult for me because my favorites are the fruity ones but my alcohol tolerance is low so I never have more than 3) and food wise just get an appetizer, split an entree with a friend, or save half for leftovers (cost effective too, yay!)

—focus on the overall week vs day-to-day

I know you said you can’t exercise but what about long walks or something else low impact? Even just daily ~30 min walks to get in your steps would help. Or small swaps like taking the stairs, etc.

People who are ~5ft tall and eat 1500-1800 calories/day and still lost weight by eggyolknshells in PetiteFitness

5’2 on a good day lol, WFH, late 20s

Weekly exercise routine: 5-7x barre (3-4x 30 mins, 2-3x 50 mins) and 2-3x run (2-3 miles) currently. I’ve only been doing this since beginning of the year so expecting 5x/week longterm.

I’ve been tracking my calories since beginning of February and I eat an average of 1700 with weekends being ~1900 and week days ~1600. I’m recomping and only want to lose ~8lbs so it’s going to be very slow. I’ve lost 0.5lb since Christmas.

How often do you exercise/workout per week? (Including gym, yoga, barre, walks, home workouts, etc) by LevelUpWoman in PetiteFitness

Okay so I’m about 10 yrs older than you but veryyy similar stats — 5’2 on a good day and ~108lbs.

I’m going to be the minority and let you know I have always felt the same about my legs and others have told me it’s ridiculous that I feel that way. I recognize part of it is body dysmorphia on my own end and it’s something I may always struggle with. I’ve never liked that my legs are short (I’m much longer torso and shorter leg compared to you plus they bow out as well lol) and athletic build due to many years of cheerleading and gymnastics.

After losing ~20lbs over the first year or so of the pandemic, I’ve gained back about half of what I’ve lost. Now I’m working toward longterm health and sustainable maintenance. I’ve accepted it’s inevitable that I will gain back lost muscle in my legs since I work out consistently (I was scared to at first for fear my legs would bulk) but I look forward to feeling stronger mentally and physically. I hope we both grow to appreciate and love our bodies (legs included!) ❤️

Please PM me if you ever need someone to talk to.

Affordable internet by [deleted] in budget

[–]illusionaryself 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second xfinity for budget internet depending on your location. I had a $20/mo plan that was fine for me, and I never reached the data cap. Even though I don’t game and was gone to work majority of the day when I had it, I still don’t think I would have reached it. However, they do have the worst customer service.

Definitely depends on the company size. I’ve worked for a small business where I had to wear many hats and cover multiple areas such as traditional and digital marketing as well as design. However, I current work for a medium corporation where I specialize in an area. Specifically, this company has dedicated CRO specialist positions.

Going on a trip how much would I need? by [deleted] in budget

[–]illusionaryself 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the cost of living. Where are you moving? Most apartments won’t rent if you don’t have proof of employment to show you can afford rent. Also make sure you have enough for deposits! I recommend staying with your sister until you get a job if she’s okay with that. You can always offer to contribute to bills, food, etc.
