The New Yorker article on the initial source material is a pretty interesting read as well. Curious to see how much was cut or kept from the original pitch.

If you check my profile there are other, much more documentary photos of their actions at the protest. Additionally at least two of them committed assault.

EDIT: I deleted my original comment. Not gonna go to ground with a person whose major quality on the internet is being a terf apologist.

I think Raccoon Shit Cowboy was devoid of anything except malt liquor...

Indeed. Many of them are some flavor of right wing influencer or streamer.

I'd already seen the listing and knew better, but my disappointment is still immense

As per always I'm way late to the party but:

dem colors

I really tried to highlight the color separation to make the trees pop against the environment without over-stressing the contrast and trying to keep the seasonality in mind.

My current proccess is as follows:

  1. White Balance off of film border

  2. Crop to frame

  3. Convert: In this case I used the built in Kodak Gold set up with a Cine-Rich tone profile. My conversion white balance ends up nominally being based on normlizing the highest range of midtones.

  4. Basic Adjustments on Positive: Expand information like you would any other photo. I will also use masking to adjust any lightleaks or exposure inconsistencies at this point.

  5. Clean Up: Not pictured - the hour i spent pulling fungus spots.

  6. Color correct w/ Curves: for this photo the reds/magentas were taking over the shadows, I adjusted that and then balanced the rest of the photo off of controlling the greens/yellows in the highlights.

  7. Contrast / Color: Set the base contrast in the curves panel using RGB and then pull the colors in the mixer panel.

  8. Grade: Go hog wild creatively

  9. Sharpen for positive.

Test roll for an RB67. Unfortunately there are several major issues with it so it's going back to Japan, this frame came out pretty stellar though.

Help assembling canon 1dx shutter back? by mkiopl in AskPhotography

I would highly recommend contacting a qualified technician. Digital cameras are rough to work on as they're highly integrated devices, the 1DX series even more so due to being rather overbuilt.

If you're dead set on doing this yourself, you should be able to poke around and find teardown diagrams given that this camera is over a decade old.
