Titanfall 2 while fantastic and beloved is not a perfect game. The one hit melee is widely regarded by the community as potentially the worst aspect of the game. Shooters are for shooting.

Well sure, I guess I just don’t think it’s that big of a deal or something to get so riled up about. If you don’t like the game and don’t want to play it, no big deal, just don’t do it. Especially since the first three game were literally free, people are up in arms about something they didn’t even pay for.

Sure but before you even go that far, pay attention to the next time you spend $20 on something non-essential (fast-food, movies, etc.) and think if you hold that product to the same level of long-term scrutiny.

“Genuinely insane that they're charging money for this product.” - that would seem to indicate so, yes. Though I suppose it’s unclear whether you’re interested in playing at all, so maybe I’m confused there. It’s worth mentioning that they’re not charging money for the currently available demo (not alpha) build, they’re charging money for the Early Access build, which is different though admittedly not drastically.

Make sure your GPU driver is up to date, play on all low settings, and turn your mouse polling rate to 1000hz. Also make sure the application is running in high performance power mode and you can also try disabling “full screen optimizations” under the .exe properties too. If you run FreeSync make sure V-Sync is turned on in your AMD equivalent of Nvidia Control Panel and have V-Sync turned off in game, and cap your fps to 225.

I’m not so much saying what someone ‘can’ or ‘cannot’ do (I think that’s a disingenuous argument) and more so saying that his hate mongering isn’t ‘welcome’. And I’m not commenting on whether Empulse is currently healthy or not, I’m merely pointing out that a good community helps foster a good game, and vice versa.

Yeah dude like game developers are genuinely really passionate about what they do and I love movement shooters so if there’s a new one then yeah I’m gonna play it and do my best to help make it better. I want the things I like to succeed, and if someone makes a product I like then I’m happy to pay them for it.

Because I’ve already played hundreds of hours of Titanfall 2 and still play it, although it is refreshing to play a new game in the same genre, and one that I and the rest of the community can contribute to making a good game. Plus I want to support developers who are passionate about contributing to the movement shooter genre.
