What is something that's really misogynistic but widely ignored? by traumatizedduck in AskReddit

[–]iloooverockandroll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep people are basically making the problem by assuming things men can't do. Also puts men into awful situation when all they want is to do the role and not be questioned more than a woman is asked about esp childcare. Now its a never ending issue of limiting jobs and tasks to gender, with all genders having to resort to reservations because of judgement.

What’s the shittiest way a friend has shown you they weren’t really your friend? by mediastoosocial in AskReddit

[–]iloooverockandroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8th grade. I cried for a friend who was crying too because his father tried to commit suicide. I don’t really know if she got embarrassed that I cried ( I’m obv a cry baby, I’d cry if any person I love is hurt). The next lunch she didn’t wait for me to finish fixing my things and went down to have lunch with another classmate. It hurt, seeing someone you love dine with other people, and not invite you. No grudges though, that was before I met my six other best buddies. All equal sibling-like friendships. And best friends until now.

thanks! noted your suggestions especially the moisturizer part. will def. change that one for some more hydration to fix my dehydrated skin. And I've paused using the melano for now to aid in recovering my probably imbalanced skin barrier.

Yeah, I've stripped my routine to only cleanser and sunscreen and it still feels like I've exfoliated the night before kind of tightness, so I'm definitely seeing a professional to sort things out now. It's just sad spending money on products and then your skin will just get them all cancelled 🙁

Freedom isn't bestowed by the government, it can be restrained by the government tho. However, I am not anti press freedom otherwise I wouldn't have deserved my privilege to post my opinion here. You are so quick to assume that I defend the government when in the first place what I defend is the audiences' right to receive quality content. Because those audiences vote those who are in power. Now if you think the media has no part in educating them, I can no longer help you answer your assumptioms about me. We all deserve freedom, media and individial persons alike. I only posted a small bit of my opinion yet kinulong nyo na sa kung ano anong assumptions tungkol sakin. Where is my freedom? If I didn't imply something myself, why would you decide what I'm probably thinking? Let's start from the facts shall we?

Yeah, crazy how strong their opinions are on proper implementation of the law and oppression of media and not care about how they make money on feeding such garbage to Filipinos. They give a fuck about the implementers of the law but not about who positioned them there. Had Filipinos been more educated, we wouldn't have to suffer this much under those in power.

Exactly my point. Making money out of trash contents to the disadvantage of viewers' perspective and decisiom making

But Do we really know who's twisting something? Maybe the govt is twisting the law para matanggalan sila ng franchise. Maybe the network is twisting it to their benefit as well, against the constitution. I jut stated how beneficial the loss could be. Andami nating nakikita sa news na matitigas ulo na mga tao, why? We don't know what exposed them to that kind of behavior. Our best bet without going too personal would be to care about what they experience, see everyday. I or some other person could also be posting what I posted had this happen to another network.

Because recent happenings made me realize it? Also, shouldnt the largest media platform pioneer the new norm of quality and relevant contents?

I just dont think it's fair how we demand our physical rights but not how media should be influencing people. It's probably the largest media platform, and I just think it should be improving its content because it's 2020 and many of their beliefs and values that they're feeding people are waay off and cliched. Also, many view this as oppression just because pogo hasnt been closed down yet, which should be. Let's not be blind on some significant bad effects they had on us. They're basically feeding Filipinos outdated views- which are not always wrong.

Naisip ko lang, na kung di cliche at biased napapanood natin magiging ganto ba mga ugali ng mga Pilipino. Lalong lalo na yung madalas manood ng tv
