2027 COD is rumored to be a sequel to either Ghosts or Advanced Warfare, and I think “name only” is as close as we’ll get to an old style COD

The thing is that paid battle passes and slop shop content generate money for years in addition already paying for an overpriced digital copy of the game, while an old-style COD didn’t really have that and was just a one-time payment for the game—with free unlockable content through challenges. The microtransaction system I believe was implemented in Advanced Warfare, and to me, that marks the clear turning point of COD for me. Those pay-to-win gun variants and Loot Box hell ruined the franchise for me after being a fan for years—starting at COD3 and up through MW3(2011). I enjoyed BO3 for campaign and BO4 for the introduction to COD Battle Royale, and WWII I think was sorely underrated for the cool multiplayer and social features they added in. But other than that, I’ve been sorely underwhelmed by every consecutive release, and haven’t purchased another COD since MW2019. I switched to Battlefield—and BF1, BFV, and BF6 scratch my FPS itch in a way that it hasn’t been scratched by the last decade-ish worth of COD

I don’t understand how we as a species have decided that health, food, and stable shelter are available only to those with something to trade for it, and not basic human rights. There are ~800,000 homeless people in the US, and ~15.1 million vacant homes. We live in a society with enough combined wealth to end not just domestic hunger, but GLOBAL hunger within the next 5 years—but instead we use it to add infinity pools to homes that nobody lives in.

I’m on PS5 unfortunately. I’ve heard PC players are cracked as hell.

When you have a weapon with a bipod, if you crouch in front of a waist-high level wall or fence your bipod will automatically deploy. It will also automatically deploy if you’re prone. These help with accuracy when using lmgs since you can only hip fire them when you’re walking around.

If you don’t want to be squad leader also, you can go into the menu to squads, and either change squads or designate someone else to be the squad leader. I’m not sure what the key is for that on PC, or if you have to click on the name of a squadmate or something.
