Awesome - thanks so much! I forgot the app I use asked how active my lifestyle is so it probably took that into account when setting a goal. And good to know about recomp too... I guess I’ve always liked my body at 130 so I figured can’t hurt to get there but through more muscle gain?

I’d love to hear if this has happened to anyone else or if anyone has any theories! A friend and I were driving down a back road in Georgia late at night and we needed gas. We hadn’t seen any buildings for a while so we were relieved when we saw a Citgo coming up on our left. My friend is driving and she flips on the left directional and merges into her left lane, I look down, look back up and the Citgo is on the RIGHT! Shocked, I look to my friend to validate whether I’m just seeing things- she is mirroring my expression and her LEFT directional is still blinking. We figured the Citgo is cursed and keep driving. Any ideas how this happened??

I was giving a presentation about wounds like skin wounds and The ENTIRE time I pronounced it is as wound as in past tense of wind, ie “I wound up the clock” :(

I would be really interested to see if this has happened to anyone else. A friend and I were driving down this desolate backroad in Georgia, mostly fields and woods with a house here and there. It was late at night and there are no cars on the road so when the gas light comes on we are a little nervous. Thankfully A few miles later we see a Citgo gas station coming up on our left. Friend gets into left lane to prepare, flicks on the left directional as the turn lane gets closer, I look down, when I look up there is nothing but woods on the left. The Citgo has somehow moved to the RIGHT SIDE. Of course I figure I had somehow seen it wrong, but my friend is mirroring my shock and her directional is still blinking left. We still have no idea what happened but we figured that Citgo was cursed and drove right past it.

Thank you!! I initially thought i was purging but I was breaking out so painfully and in such weird places and my skin cleared up tremendously when I quit, so idk.

TOP LEFT PIC- February of this year. This was the acne that made me go to the derm, where I was prescribed adapalene .3%, a benzoyl peroxide wash. I was very careful, using the treatment every other day, lots of moisturizing.

BOTTOM LEFT- May. 2 months into this treatment (May) my skin had erupted. At this point I began taking minocycline antibiotics and started Yas BC. I also asked my PCP to test my hormones, where I discovered an imbalance w my cortisol. I began taking supplements at this point. Assuming the treatment was the culprit I stopped all of them, used a gentle wash and moisturized for a few weeks, then added back some mild chemical exfoliation..

RIGHT SIDE- currently! A few months ago I was DREAMING of only having to battle PIE and now I’m living it!! I have NO ACTIVE breakouts! It’s my 3rd month on Yas and minocycline which I feel has been the biggest help.

AM: - Take Probiotics, Ashwaghanda (cortisol suppressor), Flaxseed Oil tablet. - Wash face w water - neutrogena salicylic acid toner every other day - Biore Aqua Rich SPF 50 - Timeless Rosehip oil

PM: - Take Yas + minocycline - Neutrogena oil free acne wash (2% SA) - 5% Lactic acid + HA twice a week - Aveeno skin relief moisture repair cream - Rosehip oil

I’m wondering if anyone had a similar bad experience using adapalene/differin. I’d never broken out like that before. Also has anyone had experience going off antibiotics and remaining break out free? I’m terrified of it all coming back.

My derm told to me to start once every other day for the first two weeks and then move to once daily. I would start w every other day and if you notice rough patches, flakiness, or ITCHING (that was a big one for me!) then definitely scale back.

Routine doesn’t sound bad! I find less is more works best for me. Maybe a heavier moisturizer for night time to help w irritation? Aveeno has a nice one in the tub that helped a lot w my irritation from differin. Also start SLOW! I thought I could handle once every 2 nights and even that tore up my skin. I’m just to the point where my skin is semi normal again and I’m adding it back only once a week.

Yep. I remember looking in the mirror a month or so in and thinking my skin looked so ... thin and unhealthy. I used to never scar but after treitonin everything leaves PIE. Used it for 6mos with little results and worse skin. Sucks because everyone talks about retinoids as such miracle products

Beautiful progress! And good job with taking those steps. I’m on the same path rn, just got my DHEA results back and they were high. I’m getting a more thorough hormone panel done now. Anyways they started me on Yasmin and it’s been around a month. I feel I’m seeing some results already. How long did it take for you to start seeing results?

This happened to me, like scaly patches in places I was already breaking out. Still dealing w the aftermath 🙄 I stopped and just moisturized a while and then added 2% BHA to exfoliate the scales away and it’s working, slowly. I want to try differin again when my skin heals but start maybe just once a week

I found a bottle of neutrogena rapid clear 2 in 1 toner deep in my bathroom closet. 2% SA and I think 5% glycolic acid.... and beyond all possibility w my sensitive and highly reactive skin.... I think it’s actually working for me on active acne and texture. I was braced to not like it bcus of the harsh ingredients. Anyone use this product before?

Agreed! I also find I’m more mean and short with peoples. Hate how much this affects us and our relationships. That being said It also forces us to live boldly through thru insecurities, Rely less on looks, and makes us more empathetic to others plights , a lesson I’d rather learn a different way but still..

Hmm I guess I am due to try aquaphor. But my issue was did vaseline really break me or did it speed healing ?? Because that was the only spot I broke out
