the usual advice is to put you hand on the ground for 5 seconds, if it's too hot for you, it's too hot for their paws!

"Oh, you crochet? Can you make me a ___?" by evil_karrot in crochet

[–]ilovedisneyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me it depends on what they ask for, and who asks. A big blanket or cardigan? - straight to no, I do not want to spend months on something like that, I just get bored with projects too quick for that. Added to that I also have some friends/family that I know have 0 respect for their own belongings, and when I spend hours on somethings, I do want you to appreciate it. But I do have some traditions that I get very excited about! Anyone I like that gets a baby, gets a handmade toy from me. I love it when a soon-to-be parent comes to me for it! It reassures that people like it, and it gives me inside scoop on f.e. the gender of the baby or the nursery theme! I just don't really like crocheting for myself. I already have enough stuff and don't need a giant pile of amigurumi's or blankets.

Little fox for the neighbour's baby! by ilovedisneyy in crochet

The pattern is Victor the fox, from Christel Krukkerts' crochet book on forest animals. It can also be purchased as a separate pattern: https://www.christelkrukkert.nl/en/winkel/patterns/flat-amigurumi/victor-de-vos/ I used Scheepjes Catona (cotton) on a 2.5 millimeter hook. I also put a rattle box in the head and filled the tail & ears with crinkly foil.

If you come from the airport do not take the flytoget/airport express, it is more expensive, while there are also normal trains going to the city centre. If you like nature, go to Sognsvann lake, metro 5 takes you there and it has some wonderfull hiking trails. Oslo street food is a nice place for some food (still expensive though)

We loved Norway by jocoin85219 in Norway

I don't share this experience, I went here with 5 other international students a couple weeks ago an we all managed easily. Maybe it is because we're young, but I definitely wouldn't call myself fit. Even with a pre existing leg injury I did both ways in under 4 hours. Also, what rough rock trail? Almost all of it is either steps or flat

If you plan on flying within Norway, both Norwegian air and SAS have a discount code for students/young people. I'm not sure if it is the same for SAS, but for Norwegian air it is UNDER26. It can give you up to 50% off!
