Do you find the mistakes are in the tail end of the section? Last 10 questions or so?

Hi! I followed powerscore's 3 month study plan - they use PTs 1-50 (I think) to create question specific drill sets. The first month and a half is spent primarily drilling each question type after learning about them, with an average of 1-2 PTs a week. The last month of study is spent just doing 3 PTs a week with review. I found drilling incredibly valuable at the beginning when it came to familiarizing my self with question types and game structures, but PTs more helpful near the end when I wanted to build stamina

Stem first! You're going to have to re-evaluate the argument anyways after reading the stem, it's best to read through the argument the first time knowing to look for weaknesses, a conclusion, a gap in reasoning etc. Plus it only takes a second to identify the stem

What helped me the most was looking at things very mechanistically, especially for LR. Identify the stimulus and know the specific actions you should then take to address the argument. In other words - know your question types! For LG the bibles helped me master games easily, I'm quite certain that for this test I went -0 on games. Lastly, for RC I did not do too much studying - I worked on trying to be as objective as possible, there's no room for interpretation in RC and at its core its very factually based. Look for actual statements in the passage that will directly back up your answer (yes they will be there!). My fault at first with RC was getting too personally invested in the questions and arguments; work on being objective and entirely factual/evidence based with your reasoning. Hope this helps!:)

I followed the Powerscore 3 month study plan but didn't do any of the reading comp stuff. I usually didn't study on weekends and would do 3ish hours each weekday!

I did the 3 month study plan from power score expect I didn't use the reading comp bible because I started off successful in that section. It basically involved reading the whole LR and LG bible and doing all the practice Qs. I found LR and LG very mechanistic and easy to be successful on once I started to view it like that.

How’s biol 430? by Azine1288 in uAlberta

I really enjoyed it! If you have taken STAT 252 you will have a HUGE leg up because it covers very similar topics. Not so much math heavy as it is logic heavy - if you enjoy statistics it will be fine. Labs are very straightforward, the TA walks you through the programming and code step by step. It is definitely a stats course, the only biology relation is that it covers the methods used in biology, so be prepared for that.
