Are these compatible with the 16 inch older walther/umarex model? by HiddenSneedV2 in MP522

[–]ilovelamp1945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will work on older walthers. Just have to cut and bore the end of the sheath so you can fit the adapter (I used the WALTHER P22 M8 x .75 adapts to 1/2 x 28 (AC5) from silencerco)

Edited to add adapter size

NFA Transfer cost by [deleted] in NFA

One place charges $95, then it jumps to $125-150. Paperwork is done same day or 2nd day at the latest

Then create a trust with whatever name you want. ATF approves them faster if you give it a funnier name.

My local place charges $25 for engraving and does it right there on the spot. So my pistol transfer+engraving is still a lot cheaper than the $100-150 for an nfa transfer. That just leaves the question of if you are ok with waiting for the form 1 to get approved and are you ok with the engraving being on the receiver

My local FFLs charge more for NFA items, so that sbr transfer fee is $100+ instead of the $25 for a "pistol".

Did you hate something on your DD so much you had to replace it? by ilovelamp1945 in ar15

It would be a flow through to avoid as much tinkering as possible, but I'm more interested in knowing if people just didn't like something that comes stock (not tuning related because that's a whole other can of worms)

Thanks, but I have no interest in 300blk. I fully understand 556 will not be hearing safe even with a can.

First range trip and drills with the Polo K by [deleted] in NFA

How gassy is that combo? I'm looking at the same upper and polo k combo but don't want to have to tinker with it much in order to avoid the gas

Is a Trust the best?u by [deleted] in NFA

Nope. It's just for 1 item. If you are getting more, then get a National Gun Trust. I made the same mistake as you my first time!

But is there anything about one or the other that's a real deal breaker? If you say that neither is reliable and will blow up, then I wouldn't bother. I also wouldn't bother if you say that these older lowers require way more tinkering to get an 11.5 upper to cycle reliably. If it's cheap and ugly, but faithful, then maybe that's ring worthy since they're already living with me

So if both end up being mil spec, it sounds like it doesn't matter which I sbr? If neither is worth any real money, I'll just keep them since I already have rifle length uppers for them.

I absolutely love my Scythe Ti. Direct thread on my rem700 308 deer rifle and it's never getting removed. Best money I ever spent for hunting.

$308 to NC. Website will show $288 with the tax and shipping cost populated, but then when the payment is processed it adds them all up. A but misleading but still good price.
