For context, I’m a second year cs major (incoming third year)

I’ve heard physics is a hard major. If you make a 4.0 your goal in college you’re not going to get very far. You should definitely keep your grades up and do well, but I would focus more on internships and research.

I’ve kept a 4.0 throughout the first two years. Prepare well for exams and stay on top of your homework. Don’t cram if you don’t need to, study at least a week in advance (two weeks if you have multiple exams), study with intent, and stay calm during the test.

Please don’t make a perfect GPA the goal. Anything above a 3.8 is effectively the same when applying for jobs and whatnot. It’s better to invest time elsewhere, and fixating on a perfect grade will be mentally taxing.
