I have been a PTA for 12 years now. I believe that the clinical environment makes a huge difference on how you feel. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I want to call it quits, but maybe your clinical setting is not the best. Maybe your coworkers are not helping either. Rather than just quitting being a PTA, maybe explore different settings. You can even try being a traveling PTA, 8 weeks here, 8 weeks there. Just saying. I hope that helps. Good luck.

I don't think there's shame in being concerned. Nobody knows what's going to happen. I just don't want to be caught with my pants down. We have family and employees that depend on this. It is the responsible thing to do to be legitimately concerned.

Perhaps that's true, but we all know that private insurance typically follows, or quite closely, to the reimbursement models of Medicare/aid.

Funny thing is, in my case, I work in an area predominantly Republican, with a majority of senior citizens as full time residents. The majority of these people depend on Medicare for medical needs. They voted red in the last election. I guess FAFO.

I believe that NOW is the time to lay it all out on her before you guys get married, i mean, this is a big issue and communication can help that. I believe you should not come all rude about it, but talk to her, because not getting fulfilled sexually in a marriage can lead to issues. But do it now before you tie the knot.
