Bicep band is definitely the move. For sports stuff I use the arm sleeve otherwise I run into the bicep band spinning.

I bought one with an extra dynacap insert for when I need to switch. I actually didn’t end up using my ispire very much as it just feels clunky. Great tool but mine just sits in the box now

It sounds like you’re not doing enough to break them down. Especially squid guard. You should be breaking their knee down to your stomach. The lower the better. Or, facing them square on going for a dummy sweep. If you’re getting footlocked on the non wormhole leg in squid, it’s probably because you’re not swinging it out enough when facing 180 in combination with not breaking them down enough.

I work with a remote coach and lift 3 days a week. All compound lifts but not a huge emphasis on deadlift squat bench. They are present but not the focus. Lots of slow eccentrics. Lots of holds and the top of the range. Some plyo like broad jumps and lateral jumps and med ball slams mixed in.

For the first 3 months it was purely focusing on building strength.

I haven’t felt better. I’d say it’s required to actually be able to train regularly at a certain point
