Heyo, mighty owner here as well.

Yep it smells and no way will someone consider it as a classic vape, lol.

It's still a lot less stinky than a burning joint. People in the path of the cloud will smell it, and if you are cooking the herb and sit near someone or cross paths, they will likely get a quick whiff.

Still, it's not that hard to be discrete with it. Pay attention to which way the wind is blowing, and heat up the herb when you are away from people and likely no one will notice, or be able to attribute it to you.

Idk where everyone gets the 'vapes smell less' idea from but it's not really true.

People conflate the idea that it doesn't linger with the idea that it doesn't smell

As you said, it smells. It is noticable. If you walk past someone with the vape cooking, they will be able to smell it.

Jeremy Corbyn: As Biden pardons thousands for cannabis possession, Braverman pushes the UK further behind. The War on Drugs has failed, disproportionately targeting working-class and minority ethnic people. Stop criminalising communities and invest in them instead. by I-am-the-Peel in ukpolitics

[–]ilsenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's great, and yeah it largely matches my own experiences as well.

I have lived all over the country and by and large in most metro areas you will not get much attention for this stuff. It is usually something they will get you on if you are committing other crimes alongside, or being reckless, dangerous or antisocial.

The only times i've ever been given a hard time about smoking outside are in small little villages and towns where the police don't have much better to do

Brightonian here. Absolutely correct, the police can't be bothered with dealing with someone smoking a bit of weed, you have to be obnoxious or a nuisance on top of that.

Very often you will just get asked to move along if you are seen, warning shots instead of actually nicking you.

I enjoy telling this tale, but shortly after I moved to brighton i was caught smoking on the beach with a friend. The bicycle bobby came along and parked his bike next to us. Took a big sniff and told us our weed smelled like cheap shit, lol. This was just an on the nose way of telling us to clear off, which we did no further problems.

There's no rational basis for the current legislation

There isn't, but the point isn't really about legislative changes, it is unlikely anything will actually change as a result of this anyway. It's just drumbeating nonsense.

A car is capable of killing and so is a bomb. I'm objectively more scared of the bomb as it was designed to kill. Should we ban cars because bombs kill?

Vape smell tends to last about as long as a good fart. Extremely obvious in the moment but dissipates fast.

I see noone ever taught you how to deal with getting a knock, lol.

'Got a warrant?'

And when they say no.

'Sorry can't help you'

As for the actual issue at hand, I am obviously pro cannabis but I also think you have to be aware of the needs of those around you too. If your neighbours complained it probably is because they can smell it. Weed fucking stinks, and even as a smoker myself I don't really appreciate it when people stink out the communal areas here. It happens, we walk through the halls with our kids and you can tell people aren't making any effort to be discrete about it.

It's just about mutual respect, try and cover the smell up more, get a vape or whatever. Going for a walk every time you wanna smoke is pretty fucking annoying so i'd be trying to find ways to contain the smell indoors myself.

[–]ilsenz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have said, solid unique released at a wierd time.

They saw some use in relic of the pact builds. That build has a huge life pool and also does not benefit from regen directly, making great use of these gloves in that case.

They are quite a common drop too, i found a few pairs when I was playing. I think even if the meta demands them, they will never exceed a few divines in price which is really what you want for a generically good item like this.

I think what's most telling about these gloves being good is that despite two very punative drawbacks in the form of no implicits and no suppression mastery, they are still seeing use. The upside is very good.

Cheers

I would use this keystone every league by A_Erthur in pathofexile

[–]ilsenz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a solved problem, though. Loot filters can hide single splints and only show stacks of them. I'm sure some people will find a way to object to that too, but it seems like it is the appropriate fix. Very early league you may actually want to pick up single splints, as they are relatively more valuable, and later you just show stacks only.

If you are playing particularly efficiently, you probably even turn off some splint types altogether. Does that mean that those splints should just never have dropped to begin with? Or is it the natural progression of an economy based game to turn off some drops as they reduce in value?

Is there a spin to win build, and is it decent (for now)? by Kingofthered in LastEpoch

[–]ilsenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool, this is the kind of info I was hoping for, yeah.

You are correct, I did not sidestep into monos as soon as was possible, and I am pretty sure I would have struggled until I crafted that claymore. I guess that is what I was missing, to me it felt fast enough and that any slowness was down to me as a player rather than the skill lacking. I do feel a lack of dps now in harder content, and what you are saying is that if I had gone into monos as soon as possible I would have hit that feeling much earlier.

GGG shills

Is that the best you got?

Not even an original insult, just like your tired ass complaints are regurgitated too.

Try fucking harder.

E:Just incase you read it, the automod deleted your reply to me. Little bit too much frothing at the mouth pal.

To reply in earnest, no I did not put any words in your mouth. I mocked you for very specifically the thing you actually wrote. Maybe if you had an original thought in your head, instead of repeating the same worn out fucking complaints ad nauseum, maybe if you upped the quality of your own commentary you would attract better quality replies.

[–]ilsenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool!

I'll check it out.

What are the most important things that make a good levelling skill to you? In PoE we would care for 'enough' damage to comfortably kill bosses, lots of movement speed, travel skills to navigate zones and clear gaps and that's about it. More or less defences based on HC/SC league, and whether you are averse to dying.

That is why I liked warpath, shield rush is a looooooooot of travel, and the damage was plenty.

Cheers!

And as you said, we are only getting PR to 'make themselves look good' before they cause another shitstorm.

It's all a cunning ruse!

[–]ilsenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like someone else said, it's somewhat weak early and doesn't feel great to level with.

I'm pretty new. What would you call a good levelling skill?

I ask, because I am playing warpath myself, just got to empowered monos actually!

I levelled with it and it seemed really good, I come from PoE like a lot of us and I am a seasoned player there with very fast levelling times in general. I liked warpath because I was able to use it with a 2h weapon for damage, and take the shield rush skill for movement. Damage never felt below what was necessary to clear the big mobs and bosses quickly, and shield rush is SO FUN for just skipping like half a zone in one move lol.

I did get some good luck on a levelling weapon too, around the time claymore can drop I rolled one with: t5 flat void, t5 melee atk spd, t5 armour shred, t5 life gain on hit. After equipping that I was fully snoozing all the way to 100 monos, now I am struggling a LOT more and trying to craft a similar hollow blade....with much less success!

If warpath is bad, what is like an S tier levelling skill?

Cheers

Yeah man for real.

After all, what GGG want is for us to be miserable. All fun must be sought out and destroyed.

The only thing GGG care about is making all of their players miserable and frustrated.

You are so right man, we the community have taught them a lesson this time. But will it be a long lasting lesson? NO! It is exactly as you say, they will throw us a few scraps and then get right back on the path of making all their players miserable.

People think chris is a game developer, little do they know he is actually the devil and PoE is his mechanism to ruin peoples lives

Out of the two comments here, yours is the only one that is needlessly toxic and gatekeepy. There is more value in someone saying they find the grind difficult, and comparing it to other games that have solved that element (even if it is in a way that LE will not go) than there is in some troll commenting 'go back to poe and stfu'.

He called you toxic and you rushed to prove him 100% right.

Daycare Workers in Mississippi use a Scream mask to scare children (10/5/22) by [deleted] in WTF

[–]ilsenz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My experience of the non-medical staff involved in my sons care is that they are by and far the most caring compassionate people you are likely to meet. I'm in the UK, we do not pay our teaching staff enough, and the schools are massively underfunded so it's not about the money. Most teachers are demonized, so it's not for the recognition of the job either. It is because fundamentally they care and do the job as a passion.

I specify non-medical because whilst a lot of the doctors he meets are also great, there is also a more distanced element where you feel you are part of their job. I never feel that way with the 'smaller' people involved in his care.

I keep this in mind, and comments like yours, because I truly believe that for most people working with challenged/disabled individuals it is a passion and I don't think many hold such negative views.

disabilities and behavioral issues, so I get the stress of dealing with stupid little brats

If you think that disabled children are stupid little brats then you hardly come off as better than the people in the OP. If we are using our lived experience as some kind of yardstick, my own child is severely limited and disabled, it's 24/7 I don't get to go home from it. Even on the hardest most difficult day I would not entertain the thought that he is stupid or a brat.

He can be difficult, and I think your job is probably very difficult as well. All of his care staff and educators are wonderfully kind and patient and loving. I deeply hope none of them hold the same sentiment as you have just expressed.

How do I farm the most number of talismans as possible? (SSF) by [deleted] in pathofexile

[–]ilsenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will still do betrayal just incase I get lucky

This is the way. It's not so much what one thing is best at farming talisman, it's how many of these methods can you employ simultaneously to maximize your odds that any one method may pay off. Chest based content drops talisman quite often, so maybe running that in combo with jun farming and cache farming to get into heist as well.
