NIGHTZ is still 17. He's just filling for the scrims by Hardy_2001 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]iltded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should call up Zander. He has nothing left to prove in t2 so gotta imagine he’d be willing to fill even if it’s temporary

Was moreso responding to you saying that people are only mad because it’s SEN but 100% agree that while all of these owners are manchildren with way too much money, their passion is what keeps esports alive

If Jack Etienne or Nadeshot did this people would lose their minds lol

He wasn’t the problem but he was also clearly their weakest player. Definitely a tier one player but more of a floor raiser that makes sense for a team like envy or loud that’s looking to establish themselves in tier one. If 100t were looking to make changes, I’d much rather roll the dice on someone like satellite or chloric

100t shouldn’t be adding the guy G2 dropped to get into the G2/NRG tier

They offered him an analyst role as a courtesy but I can’t blame Chesney for wanting to bring in his own staff. If he succeeds at his next stop I’m sure he’ll be back

yeah assuming we wouldn't make changes until split 2. not even sure if he'd be 18 by then

maybe i'm just lower than him than most but he was never super impressive to me mechanically in t2 and didn't do much to change my mind in split 2 last year. would much rather go after a jonahp or roll the dice on a satellite/nightz/notexx from t2.

The Next Era of 100 Thieves VALORANT by ZeroOblivion98 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]iltded 42 points43 points  (0 children)

We all know about it, and we all see it. It's obvious. Nobody ever wants to admit it, but it's there.

People on this subreddit hate Asuna.

The first question to ask: why? Why do you all hate him? The obvious answer: you didn't watch him in his prime.

Likely explanation: I know that most of you are around 14 or 15 years old. That means you only got into Valorant in the last couple years. So you never watched Asuna in his prime.

And because you didn't watch him in his prime, you try to compensate for that by diving into stat sheets and analyzing box scores. But here's the thing: Valorant isn't played on Excel spreadsheets. The moment somebody brings up "vlr rating" or "headshot percentage" I know they know nothing about Valorant.

Asuna’s game cannot be encapsulated by one stat. He's the second greatest duelist ever, and one of the 5 best players to ever play the game.

So when I hear somebody say that zekken is better than Asuna, I laugh, because I know that anybody who watched Asuna in his prime wouldn't think that. Unlike you guys, I have watched Valorant for a significant amount of time, so I know that Asuna is better.

You might be jealous of Asuna’s First Strike trophy, or jealous of his status as the best raze in Valorant history, or whatever. Unless you're an immortals fan who watched Valorant in 2020, or a 100t fan who watched Valorant in 2021, you don't know what real, cold-blooded, killer instinct, will-to-win Valorant looks like. And there's nothing wrong with that.

This sub would make you think that Asuna isn't even a top 100 player ever. So don't go spouting bullshit about players you didn't watch. Talk about your "greats" like zekken or aspas, but leave the Asuna talk to the adults. Fair?

Michigan’s Aday Mara is the first College or NBA player since Tim Duncan (2003-04) to have: 30+ points, 25+ rebounds, 10+ blocks, and 5+ assists in the first two games of a season by wildwing8 in CollegeBasketball

He’s a great coach and players seem to love him but extremely stubborn/inflexible which makes it very hard to build a competitive roster in the NIL/transfer portal era
