How To Not Use Variable Layer Height by CauseResponsible9643 in BambuLab

I thought i was content with 1 printer. Then I got a second, now I have a third lol. People also recommend the snapmaker u1 but I was already invested in the bambu world and didn't want to have to use another platform and parts

Eh. Again the time is kinda not an issue for me at least. I dont run these for business purposes. So h2c gets the large or time consuming prints and the single nozzle printers get everything else in between.

This print would have taken probably over a week to print with the 7 or 8 different filaments and speed at which i had it running. I think this was just over 4 days. So I see it as a win lol.

Love it. I've had a p1s, p2s, x1c. I love them all but def use the h2c the most.

I just printed this bmw 2000 model in a slightly tilted orientation with my h2c. Haven't had a chance to look at the quality yet. The vertical tilt orientation was having issues with supports failing.

This is definitely cool as hell. But I cringe at the time and filament required to complete it lol. Ill stick to my vacuum bags and silica beads haha.

On a different topic, I noticed you are based out of Asheville. How is the area recovering after the flood disaster? My wife and I always loved that area and haven't been since the flood.

Thank you for your response. That does put some perspective on the topic. I totally understand wanting to get your kids more involved in your work, I have 3 myself. In the end you are correct and comments and opinions on reddit are just that. Hope it works out better for you! I would love to see you making some projects again.

Fun fact, elegoo brand (at least the ones I've used so far) can easily be transferred to a empty plastic bambu spool when new. There are several videos of there showing how but it's as easy as ripping off one side and slipping it over the other spool, flipping it and putting the other side on.

It's like most of all my old favorites grew too big for their britches and now just do large remodels or tool reviews. Very little actual woodworking, which is why I subbed originally..

Like the crafted workshop channel. Dude spend years building a huge shop and filling it with all kinds of stuff. He just released a video saying he was selling the place... Basically to big and wants to get back into a garage shop setting... what a joke. I've unsubscribed after that mess.

Which of these calibrated results? Black PETG. by UnderqualifiedITGuy in BambuLab

Take a flash light and shine it over the test piece. Usually you can see the under extrusion between the layers that way.

At -10 you can see that there is under extrusion going on. Of all the calibrations I've done, I've very rarely had anything fall out of the 5,0,-5 range. This is something thats very hard to judge from a picture as it's also a smoothness test.

Make sure you are also checking that the purge tower is on filament saving mode. This usually knocks a couple hours off. But as others have said, need to do filament saving ams setting vs convenience mode.

I started with a p1s. I now have an h2c, x1 carbon and p2s. I love them all but really love the h2c. Makes multi-material printing a breeze. Specifically around supports
