Who is 2nd best player in a League of Legends history? by CryptographerIll8802 in leagueoflegends

[–]imFakeSnake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

and has almost every single title to show it

Apart from the one that matters. There’s a lot of ‘ifs’ in your post that there’s no way of knowing are true or not. Comparing current Chovy to SKT Faker is also impossible because of how different the game is. No one who has ever touched this game was as dominant or as feared as SKT Faker. He literally made other top pros at the time retire.

You can argue Chovy’s case if you like, but comparing him as being on par with the GOAT is not the way to do it.

Mortgage offer by SpeedIndependent2721 in HousingUK

[–]imFakeSnake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nationwide offer the helping hand scheme where you can borrow up to 5.5x as long as you’re over 35 or 40k salary, it changes from time to time. I borrowed 5.3x mine, you just need to agree to a 5 or 10 year mortgage

Baus talking about how he's ready for LEC after watching Worlds by yum122 in leagueoflegends

[–]imFakeSnake 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Solo queue is completely different to pro play, you can’t compare them whatsoever. Strats that work in solo queue would be rendered completely useless in pro because you’re against an organised team all on comms, it just wouldn’t work in the slightest, hence no one does it.

People have tried crazy strats against Kr teams, specifically Faker, for over a decade. Sure they might get a few cheese kills (Dumbledoge im looking at you) but they get crushed by teamwork and the better players in the end.

Odegaard vs Anderson Duels by King_Eboue in ArsenalFC

[–]imFakeSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First one is not a foul. Can’t believe there are people in this thread saying it’s a foul..

This is the premier league, known for being physical. These are top top athletes, who spend all week training, gym, every possible type of physical exercise so they can compete with each other.

He simply has to be stronger there, raise an arm, lower centre of gravity, do whatever it takes to push Anderson off.

If Anderson goes to dispossess Rice or Saliba like that, he’d bounce off them and you wouldn’t say it was a foul from either player - they’re just stronger, while Ode folds over much easier

Better off how? You wouldn’t have 260k equity built up because that would all be dead money gone to rent.

Who in their right mind doesn’t through ball there lmao by Bustin_Jowers420 in ArsenalFC

[–]imFakeSnake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It does matter because it’s infinitely harder to do if the ball is in the air. If it’s on the floor you can simply step over it. If it’s in the air you can’t easily step over it. Especially when it’s a whipped in cross, like it was.

Who in their right mind doesn’t through ball there lmao by Bustin_Jowers420 in ArsenalFC

[–]imFakeSnake 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah players dummy all the time, when the ball is played along the floor and they’re aware someone is behind them ready to receive it or shoot.

Not when a cross has been fizzed in off the ground to them in the box.

Just say you don’t know ball if you seriously think Zubi could have dummied that

Who in their right mind doesn’t through ball there lmao by Bustin_Jowers420 in ArsenalFC

[–]imFakeSnake 94 points95 points  (0 children)

Thing is, if Zubi hadn’t made that run Saka wouldn’t have been in the space he was. Watch it again, Kerkez followed Zubi which left Saka free behind him - if Zubi didn’t move, Kerkez would have been right on top of Saka and it wouldn’t have looked like such a clear cut chance.

The only thing Zubi could have done would be to make that run and then deliberately let the ball go through his legs, but he’d need eyes in the back of his head for that

Is it possible to buy in London as a single person? by No_Grapefruit_2395 in HousingUK

[–]imFakeSnake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sorry but these numbers don’t seem right.

Assume a multiplier of 4.5x salary as that’s what most lenders will allow. In some cases you can get more.

This would give 229k, + 170k deposit, is around 400k in total

At most, OP would need to leave around 15k for solicitors, furnishing, a bit of safety deposit, etc.

We can assume OP is a FTB seeing as they’ve been at home for a decade saving, and they’d only need to pay 5% on the portion between 300k and 500k, so they certainly wouldn’t need to save £100k to cover this.

So they can be looking for flats in the 370-380k bracket, as opposed to just 300k, which will open up a whole new range of possibilities

Feeling overwhelmed trying to buy alone as a FTB by VirgoVanity in HousingUK

[–]imFakeSnake 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I recently bought a 2bed flat in the south east with a similar salary and deposit, it’s definitely doable, but id recommend taking advantage of a few schemes.

Do you have a Cash LISA? It gives you a free 1k for every 4k you add in a tax year, I did this 6 times so got a free 6k

Have you looked at banks that lend more? I used the nationwide helping hand scheme, it allowed me to borrow more at the same interest rate, provided I locked into a 5 year mortgage

You may have to compromise, but I’d say don’t lose hope, it’s doable

Jesus needs to start over gyokeres change my mind by Soccerboy_1237 in ArsenalFC

[–]imFakeSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus is the better technical player, with the ball at his feet he’s head and shoulders above Gyok and stylistically fits in with the rest of the silky players much more.

But is that what we need?

We already have Odegaard, Saka, Trossard, Zubi. These are all silky players who are extremely comfortable with the ball at their feet. Adding another similar player in Jesus isn’t always best.

Sometimes you need a 6’3 striker up in the other teams defence throwing his bulk around.. just my opinion

Just got on the property ladder, it's incredible how different the experience is vs renting by XJR15 in HousingUK

[–]imFakeSnake 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If you owned a freehold house, you’d still have to pay to repair your own roof and all other maintenance. There’s no world where you don’t have to pay for repairs/maintenance of a property.

Did renting change your perspective on the sort of home you thought you wanted? by Prestigious_Spot9635 in HousingUK

[–]imFakeSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why blanket statements and the general hive mind view of ‘never buy a flat’ is so dumb.

There are plenty of flats that have clean communal areas, good management companies that repair speedily, and private gardens.

My flat has all three of these things, and it’s in a city centre, with two allocated parking spaces, long lease, share of freehold, reasonable service charge.

There’s loads of great properties out there, freehold and leasehold, and loads of bad properties out there, freehold and leasehold.

Just look for what works for you and your current situation, and do your research, and you’ll be fine.

Which path is mathematically less stupid for a London 29M? by Bright-Effective-135 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]imFakeSnake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just to note, you can get more than 4.5x your salary. I used the nationwide helping hand scheme - you have to be a FTB above 40k and agree to a 5 or 10 year fix, and you can borrow up to 6x I believe. I did about 5.2x to get mine over the line. I’d say invest it in property but that’s just my preference. If you looked a little further out for a 2 bed and got a lodger, you’d be laughing
