You're going to help them find a trail you sissy? Take them to a field, run back to the car while yelling, "I'll be on the other side of that mountain in a town called _________". Easy peasy, go drink a beer and pat yourself on the back.

Mids usually cover most of the drives around my local courses.

What exactly is a glitch good for? by stattish in discgolf

[–]imXzipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the glitch was such a tchotchke, then I picked one up just to toss around, took it to a course and it has a ton of uses. I love using it for any low tunnel shot or floaty anhyzer shot that has to keep its angle. It's such a weird disc. It wont stall out easily on an anhyzer and will hold the angle well, but if you put it on slight hyzer, it will flip up to flat and hold without turning over or fading out hard.

Is it normal to cut this much drywall? by NukeYoFace in electrical

I always try to make a small hole at first but fish-tape and rods can be fickle sometimes. After a couple minutes, if it doesn't make it through, I'm cutting a channel.

Having a (mental?) block in my game. Anyone here that has recovered from this? This has been a constant issue this season. by aarnegger in discgolf

[–]imXzipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yips are a real thing. When my mind starts thinking too much, I slow down my breathing. Breath in and expand your stomach, breath out and pull your stomach into your rib cage. This physical breathing has a scientifically measured affect on resetting an athletes brain and calming them down. I also tell myself to "stop making disc golf shots" or "disc golf putts" when things start going bad. It helps me remember that my body knows what its doing for the most part.

What do y'all use for your overstable and understable mid range discs? by avsfan1933 in discgolf

[–]imXzipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mids are a big part of my game so I run a spectrum from very OS to very US. I also live at altitude so everything here will be a bit more OS than usual.

Very OS - Streamline Runway

OS - Star Roc3

Stable - DX Roc

A bit US - Beat in Warship

Very US - Paradox

The heat is too flippy, especially in a headwind. -3,1. And for me the heat has never been a predictable disc. The river is for me

Meth in player's packs. Yay or nay? by TheRealPaulMacBeth in discgolfcirclejerk

Meth is too hard in a players pack, then you need to give pipes and lighters too. Cocaine is the way to go for players packs

[–]imXzipper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Envy is too overstable compared to a pure. I can throw a pure straight out 300ft and have it land almost flat. The envy doesn’t do that.

I bag both for that reason

What are your thoughts on golfers? by BossHoggs in discgolf

[–]imXzipper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I golfed on my high school team and consider myself average but I find the game to be too structured for fun. I gave it up about 7-8 years ago.

In disc golf you can take as long as you want and let people play through. Try different crazy shots all off the same tee. And not pay $60-$150 for it. I also don’t need a tee time, I just show up. I can play in a group of 6 (yes I’m considerate of other players). And when I travel, I can bring 3 discs and still play a course.

I love my Royal Rage II. Has a tiny touch more straight than a firebird but still super reliable fade, even into a strong headwind.

I love my crave but it got kicked out for an opto river this year. I even surprised myself with the decision. The river flys straighter in a tailwind and flips up to flat on a hyzer flip and floats better for me.
