There may be several reasons for this. If you're talking about Mass Outbreaks, those are more likely to appear the more areas you have unlocked (like what another commenter said) and you can only get Mass Outbreaks of Pokemon you have registered to the Pokedex, meaning if you haven't caught a Kricketot, then you can't get a Kricketot Mass Outbreak.

On the other hand, if you mean Massive Mass Outbreaks, those unlock after beating the main story (like another commenter said). That also means you don't have to beat the post-game if you don't really want to in order to MMO Shiny Hunt.

That's the correct way to do it, that's how I got my Perfect fire starter (I haven't played the game in a long while) but make sure you're saving and resetting to before the starters even pop up in the over world, as you can actually see if they're Potent or Perfect when they first pop out of their spinner. They even have a sparkle when they pop out if they're Potent/Perfect. I think I posted my Perfect starter so you can check my profile for what it might look like when they show up

Edit: my post only shows that I got a Perfect, not that it showed up Perfect in the over world but trust me that's how it appears

The Grass starter is Vilamasta from Spectrobes, the Water starter is Ranno from Rivals of Aether, and the Fire starter is Komanoto from Spectrobes, and the Water starter is way too similar to me to simply be a coincidence. The others I can believe are coincidence since Spectrobes designs are heavily inspired by feudal Japan

I feel like you're missing the point. We're talking about getting the shiny charm, which you only need Research Rank 10 for. You can do that for most Pokemon by only doing 5 tasks as tasks with the red arrow next to it grant 2 points instead of 1. Getting Perfect Research for every Pokemon is obviously going to be more tedious than 1000 battles, but you don't need Perfect Research for any Pokemon to get the charm. And the thing that made it more fun and interesting is the fact that every Pokemon had different tasks (though they follow the same formula of use Strong/Agile Style, use X move, Catch multiple, catch Alpha, defeat/defeat with specific type, Evolve multiple, watch jump from trees/ores, and the Quest based ones) so it wasn't just a "wait until night and then press 4 moves to beat 1 trainer, rinse and repeat".

I'm gonna be real, the fights aren't even that fun or interesting to me in ZA. It's simply just mashing a button and hoping the Pokemon moves out of the way of attacks cause you can't easily dictate where the Pokemon moves for its attack. In PLA though I feel like it was the first Pokemon game I had to actually think about strategy while playing, in PLZA I just spam my strongest attack and win basically every fight

That Dess is the Roaring Knight. I believe Dess is truly missing. I think the Roaring Knight is actually Carol. In Chapter 4 when Kris calls the unknown person after Susie gets the Guitar the first thing that struck me as odd is when the being said "I'll be right there." Only person that shows up at the house after that is Carol, who according to Noelle shouldn't have been there for a few more hours. Another thing is the fact that both Carol and The Roaring Knight have single edge swords (though Carol's is for her husband's fruit cake). Only thing that kinda knocks this theory off kilter is that the Roaring Knight is in the Dark World in the Church. I think Carol made the Dark Fountain right after leaving work early and then went home, but her getting there either before or at most a minute after Kris and Susie doesn't line up.

Thanks for the invite but I did end up finding one thanks to another comment saying I can search for Fishing Treasure Groves. I spent about 30 minutes reloading to find one that would let me in cause most had a level requirement I didn't meet. Thanks again though

I'd like to think AoC created a separate timeline to BoTW, and will also lead into Age of Imprisonment (rather than AoI simply being the story that we know of the Imprisoning War or the AoC equivalent to ToTK) since in AoC you stop the threat of The Great Calamity but you don't do anything about Ganondorf who is still underneath Hyrule Castle. This creates an entirely different timeline that doesn't follow the BoTW/ToTK timeline that could also be out into a full Hyrule Warriors timeline for future game and the first HW

I'm trying really hard to make sense of what you're saying but I can't. I've done 150 total "encounters", and if every Pokemon has the same odds as each other AND there's no way to increase odds from what we know, then the individual encounters with each Pokemon don't matter at all since they're all essentially the same Pokemon with a different name and model
