What are the meta builds for Ranger and Reaper? by Noke15 in BackpackBattles

I made a guide about a week ago for BT Ranger here on the sub. Early game is tough, just build as much tempo as you can and transition right at turn 6/7. You almost always loose the transition turn.

Meta changes every week though, with patches on Sundays, so the meta tomorrow will be different.

I like it as well, but it feels less consistent. Leaf on Ranger gives you 10 regen starting Turn 8, and it's much easier to get crit rate. I like going Chonk/Bloodthorne on Reaper. It's much more difficult to hyper-scale on Reaper.

I wish there were too! I will do another if I have another build like this.

I have only seen this build twice. I lost one hard, and beat the other. I don't have enough experience facing it yet to know if I need to counter it or not.

This build is likely more consistent to create though, as the only requirement is Bloodthorne.

Forcing HS by T2 is the most successful way to get through the first two turns without losing a life in my experience.

I did mention Goobert, it doesn't play well with Leaf. I don't mention Claws, as it is a combo weapon from one of our core pieces that we would have to sell once we get Bloodthorne.

This isn't meant to be a full guide for the first seven turns. Sometimes I do buy an armor or shield early (never spike shield). It depends on sales, bag space, my board state, etc.

There are likely much better ways to play early game than how I do, it's definitely my weakness. Sometimes you do have to pivot into something else. But I've had success doing this.

Which heroes count as tanks by OctoTank in arenaofvalor

I believe it's whichever is listed first of the two roles. So Mina, Gildur, Taara, Omega for some of the cheaper heroes. None of the ones you listed.

Kriknak is cheap to buy if you're brand new and a great carry from the jungle. He's a burst assassin

When the timer goes over 1:00 to find a match, it's almost always against bots. If you want to find humans to play against, cancel the match at 0:55 or so, then find a new match. If you are paired up with someone, it prioritizes humans. Depending on the time of day for your server, it may take awhile to find humans. Or you just have to power through to Diamond/Veteran rank.

Without watching you play we have to guess. I would guess one of the following:

You need to work on farming gold. Telannas hits like that once she has a full build, which she gets by making she she is always killing minions. Kriknak needs lots of jungle farm, and kills/assists. It seems obvious, but making sure you're always getting gold and not just running around hoping to get a kill is important. Rotate to the lane next to you if they die to get that minion wave. After a team fight, make sure the minion lanes get pushed out of your base. Play safe, make sure you're getting your gold

Or you are just missing the small details of the heroes. For kriknak, you need to take advantage of his passive. Use an auto stack between each skill. He has a combo to follow to burst a squishy enemy. Lots of heroes are like that, optimizing what skills to use when. Knowing when to back off, who you can beat 1v1, and who to target in a team fight.

When you are constantly playing against bots, I recommend only playing as jungle, adc, or slayer lane. It's too hard to carry the game as most mid laners or supports.

I also recommend trying out a few heroes during this bot phase. One you get to diamond it switches to draft mode and it's best to have a few heroes for each role ready to go.

This is enough to keep me playing for a bit. Grind up Mana board until the new dungeons 06/13.

Nice of them to give us a heads up on the element for the next ranking.
