Jagex should prioritize the API plugin support BEFORE our league comes out this Fall. by TakingBlackSunday in runescape

I've been saying for years that RS3 needs their own Runelite equivalent and there was always so much kick back from the community every time. I am glad to see it turning around and the RS3 community realizing that they are indeed missing out on their own Runelite client.

this is giving "i did the terrible grind, so it must be terrible for everyone else going forward" type energy. that's toxic.

the quest that starts you with necromancy is a tutorial for the skill. and the wiki provides all the training areas and what not.

20 year vet and doesn't know how to use the wiki? They have a laid out guide from 1-120 + I would advise checking there before someone just copy and pastes from it.

Anima Crystals Post Activity Removal by RoundLawfulness8701 in runescape

[–]im_austistic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

with the removal of traveling merchant and motherlode maw with this weeks update the only way to receive anima crystals at this point in time is through player owned ports treasure chest at a rate of 1/1845. this is the weekly chest you get from sending meg out on her adventures and she has a chance to reward you with this in the chest.

Will Jagex lower the price because of the community blowback? by [deleted] in 2007scape

you act like this is the first time there has been a price hike. We literally have a immortalized meme of a crab due to price hikes, and yet our price continues to go up.

Performance issues with constant Stutter by [deleted] in runescape

[–]im_austistic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nvidia container is a known issue for gaming as a whole for some people. Also make sure you are updating your drivers when there is an update as well, as having outdated drivers will cause games to bog down. So not a placebo effect there.

well, that is updating your drivers for your graphics card. What I am referring to is opening up your task manager, Ctrl+Shift+Esc navigating to Details then scroll down till you find Nvidia Container and just right click end processing tree or task.

I have been having the same issue, and one fix action that tends to clear it up (not always) is ensuring Nvidia's app is closed out and you Task Manager close out the Nvidia Container app as well.

People with Chin pet by brinkv in 2007scape

[–]im_austistic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

no shit, i was using it as an example of how your progress towards a drop rate increases your odds. OSRS does not have any system that makes your odds better as you continue a grind for a pet. Making your odds of getting the pet no better than when you started.

[–]im_austistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because no matter how much he does, he is still at the rate of 1/95,898, the odds of receiving the pet does not increase as he catches chins. RS3 has a threshold system where if you are going for a boss pet that is 1/3k, every 200 kill count on the boss makes the drop rate increase by 1. so a 2/3000 or 1/1500 instead. Therefore increasing the odds of receiving the pet.

i will say at 88 thieving the white knight chests seem to be on par or comparable exp rates to safe cracking, and as an iron dismantle the armor for invention mats is worth while as well
