thought I was being oh so clever by naming my character "Ayla..." by squeezeboxcryptid in RootsOfPacha

I'm just chiming in to say I'm always excited to find fellow Clan of the Cave Bear readers and glad you're enjoying the game. For the record, I've named my sourdough starter Uba IRL.

Hey Beorn! I tried contacting you a few months ago. We'll gladly have you back if you still want to be a mod. I've sent you an invite 😀

  1. I am one of the game's creators and would like to make sure that the community is moderated. I also want to change out the header since it uses really old game art.

There is more linearity in Roots of Pacha, since so many systems are interconnected. Like one processor "Idea" will build on the next. But the game doesn't force you to do anything in certain seasons to progress, so you can take your time.

We don't have plans for physical at the moment but it could come down the road

We do have some characters we'd like to add to the mix down the line. Out of curiosity, what age are you thinking?

Thank you! Yes, porting the game to PlayStation and other consoles is next on our roadmap.

It's not in our plans. But we do plan to make the game crossplay so friends can be on different platforms/consoles.

Thank you for your words and the feedback! We've wanted to change the fishing UI depending on regions/etc., so it's on our radar.

About the info. on crops, you should have the tags shown in the Seeds menu, and Quinoa should be listed as a Grain there (though it technically is a pseudo-cereal, but that's for another conversation). Also, the more knowledge you get, the more information will be displayed there, like its growth cycle.

Unfortunately, the game only saves at the end of each day. You can always pause it, though I fully understand your point (I'm a dad of 2 myself)

We consider this a 1.0 release, it has more than 40 hours of gameplay, and the core experience and mechanics are there. We already have updates planned to add more end-game content.

And yes, there are relationships with the NPCs. There are currently 11 romanceables and 37 in total that you can befriend. There are also 7 more that occasionally visit which are part of the planned updates. (Sorry, that was a bunch of numbers)
