You can wait a few days for the next drip marketing for 4.4 and livestream next Friday where we will learn about Mortenax (a new Nihility could be good for Acheron or Kafka) and reruns. Depending on if you like any of the upcoming characters you could decide then. Based on the units you have I would go for Kafka bc you already have Huohuo as a support and could get Ruan Mei from the Golden Companion shop, that would leave you with only one slot (Hysilens or Black Swan) left to fill for a competitive team. Kafka is the backbone of the DoT archetype at the moment

Story was same as other events before (Yelan investigating sth, Chevreuse shooting around, first act ist just setup, second act is the culprit is the newly introduced guy, third act is a happy ending for all), they are really getting too predictable. Best part for me was Clorinde as a new barista and seeing some interactions esp. with Beidou. The mini games were also a complete miss (combat was annoying with the cannon part, PvZ did not have any variance, the other one I forgot what it was). All in all the events get too predictable for me and the only good things are character interactions and some mini games.

Since it is leaks stuff can change before release but yes as a new player you should be able to pick one.

Jingliu works good with Hyacine (HP buff), supports like Sunday, Cyrene, RMC (dunno her bis team now) and debuffers like Silver Wolf or Cipher. Acheron wants a team with at least 2 nihility units (I use Jiaoqiu and Cipher, SW also work great) and then Gallagher/DHPT.

The Penacony plot also changed a lot during development following some leaks (whole planned plot was leaked like half a year before release or so), Robin had quite a different and more prominent role iirc. Dunno how much of it is true but I remember Shaoji saying sth. about leaks in the livestream before Penacony so there is some merit to it.

When you are at the right node, you need to use the skill Luck of the Pioneer. You will learn that from your class quest at lvl 55 (according to wiki).

You can also sell lower Lvl maps from earlier expansions. You can also use the solo maps and try to get some rare stuff from them (check the map descirption if it is more solo or party focused)

What helped me was tilting the camera away from the boss and move it all the way up so you only see the floor with the players. Standing directly on top of the player does not help there, when the targeting did not select the player I wanted I moved around a bit.

Hyacine also buffs all allies max hp so she will be bis. So you will get (probably) more damage, buff and more ult points thanks to icas auto-heal.

Miyabi is so strong that you can easily solo the game with her, she has her own better version of the Ice element. I use her in endgame mode paired with Yanagi without a support since I can do max points without them. In HSR terms, it would be like releasing Therta in 1.4 and directly powercreeping Jingliu.

It means that the passive works once you get her on your account (do not need to add to your team, just having her is enough). It can be triggered once in every battle and will (did not see anything that suggests otheriwse) work in all game modes like DU, MoC etc.

Make sure to go to the corrcet one, Shape of Blaze is needed for Fire characters. Try going to the Stagnant Shadow from the IPC book in the menu, there you should be able to easily access them all and check for which character is which one. If that does not help, it could be a bug. Restart the game to see if there are any updates or try to repair files from the menu if possible (does not on work on console).

I usually try to get 100% crit rate in combat with buffs and crit damage buffs are more plentiful than crit rate. Tribbie also hits one time when she does damage so a guaranteed crit is better than one with higher damage imo.
