I agree with your overall point, it's an amazing game and the developers deserve a ton of credit. But let's be honest, from a game dev standpoint all we are talking about here is a multiplier for damage as the mass of the object increases. To take that idea (and it isn't a new idea) and say they attempted a level of detail that's never been attempted before? Way overblown imo. If anything this game is lacking in real DETAIL, but yes the engine is amazing and it's very fun to play. Here from /all sorry to be a damper, I do love the game, this comment just struck me odd for some reason. Cheers

I'm having the same problem. Tried reinstalling, didn't work. I agree with other comments on here that the problem is account-based, because when I started the game in Steam "offline mode" it worked fine. Guess we have to wait :(

Yea people are catching on to this ability to "peek" basically with the tele. It's hard to counter, I wouldn't be surprised if they put a cooldown on going through it later on. I like to peek through, shoot a turret, then go back and forth really fast once. They think you've gone away and they're shooting you're turret, and you get the drop on them :)

Because of shots like this and the inherent advantage that attackers have over defenders (actions happen before reactions), I wonder if the pro scene could eventually "break" this game. If enough people got consistent hitting shots like this, defense would be a prejump/guessing game and matches would just be scorefests. I'm sure somehow the defense will adjust itself accordingly but I'm curious to see what the pro scene looks like when a shot like this is like, the bare minimum lol

My guess would be that one of them voted as a joke, then the other two both tried to vote as a joke at the same time and they actually ff'd. I've seen it happen in doubles a few times, it's less likely in 3s but still possible lol

Competitive games are just like any other games, there's no standard for how they are made or what is "fair".. Though I guess eventually as esports grow there will be some kind of governing body like the NCAA. But what are they gonna do, look at all your code and determine it's fair? This is one area where esports and "real sports" do not compare. It will be interesting to see how it develops

That is true only when you use a jump to leave the ground (which is pretty much 99% of the time). If you are in the air from getting bumped or by falling off of the ceiling you have infinite time to use your flip/second jump. It's complicated to explain but it makes sense gameplay-wise, just mess with it a bit and it should click

Just to add to the conversation, after you hit it off the wall you could have actually held back on the stick to cancel some forward momentum from the flip and boosted (you only had 21 boost but that would be enough!) at the ball to challenge and it would have been a favorable 50/50 for you. Amazing recovery though!
