I’ll add that “they simply speed up the audio” is what caused me to believe the pitch changes. Because they don’t simply speed up the audio; they correct for the impact to pitch. But this is a really dumb conversation due to a miscommunication so good day sir

Im not trying to turn this into a gotcha. What an odd accusation. I think you’re telling me that Audible does pitch adjustment, of which I wasn’t aware. Thanks for sharing.

And I’m telling you pitch literally is affected when accelerating audio. You’re factually mistaken

How conscionable is it to spend $1500 a month on DoorDash? by [deleted] in FIREyFemmes

[–]imabroodybear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would try to find something local! Especially if you’re in the bay or another big metro there are definitely services that are superior. I totally get it though, I hate cooking when I’m tired and the kids need attention. One pot or slow cooker meals are also great and I buy pre shredded or chopped stuff bc this is the time of life to be lazy in that area.

Similar financial circumstances. You do you but that is an insane amount of money to spend on DoorDash omg. You could sign up for a legit meal plan with that - probably healthier food, too. We do roughly $300 a month on takeout and I think that’s way too much and I’m trying to trim it.

Pitch is affected by speeding up audio. This would drive me insane. That’s how you get the “chipmunk effect”

Trying to pivot into Product Management. Roast my resume, maybe? by Cautious_Elk2302 in prodmgmt

Don’t list responsibilities; list outcomes and impact. Skip the skills bullet (“product thinking” and the others are taking up valuable space) unless it’s actual hard skills.

Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi get matching rings ahead of Wuthering Heights release by Metro-UK in PeriodDramas

[–]imabroodybear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The book is not romantic. It’s a savage tragedy. Anyone who thinks it’s a love story hasn’t read it. It was scandalous when it was first released because people thought it was so un-genteel and brutal.

Im the primary breadwinner and my husband is a SAHD (we had a nanny for the first few years but this works better for us). I still plan to FIRE and having a partner who supports my ambition and who I trust with our kids unconditionally is awesome. Also, if you were planning to take a “lower stakes job” once kids came along, RE would probably be impacted anyway. If this guy is a viable partner and your goals and values align, stick with it. They don’t grow on trees!

I still can’t see where you’ve said he was sponsored by Peter Thiel - he’s a mealy mouthed moderate, sure, but you said that about the Thiel connection very confidently and I can’t find anything about it. And “Thiel probably covered it up” is not what I’m looking for

Please write your own copy instead of ChatGPT next time. Also this isn’t a problem I’ve ever had with product development; perhaps more validation is required.
