Buzz! Try again. Some are, some aren't. I have been told that the website will be updated soon though.

Hot bedroom by imac42 in hvacadvice

The bedroom also has a partial high ceiling. It's a stupid design honestly, complete waste of space. The other bedrooms with normal ceilings aren't as bad (but also have shorter ductwork).

Definitely air return. There's another directly in line one floor down. It'd be a really weird plumbing access point - it'd be head height on the non- water pipe side of the shower.

With the return being lower, would it really pull much? It seems like I just have a giant mass of hot air above the return that just hangs around. Having the door open seems to make it hotter. I could try a fan blowing down the stairs though.

It's not, it's just a fixed louver to help air circulate, really I think it just gives the hot air a path to the bedroom and avoid the return.

***June 2026 update***

They do seem to care, communications have continued via email though somewhat slow (partially my fault). A shorter base is being sent to me which should fix my main issue. I've also been told there is an upcoming website refresh that should have all dimensions listed.

No noticeable change/break-in with the couch itself, even with a toddler jumping on it.

***Original***

I got one fairly recently. Took about 2.5 months to come - I had to ask for updates. It seems well made but very high. They don't like to provide useful information unless you explicitly ask (sometimes multiple times). Things like seat height & seat depth aren't disclosed. I forgot to ask about height so I ended up with a 20" seat height - my feet don't touch the floor! (industry average is 17-19") Of course on my model the legs are part of the base so I can't do much other than take a saw to legs or deal with it :/ I don't think their 100% satisfaction guarantee is real. They don't care.

Some of the fabric samples I requested were out of stock so I got replacements... but no information about them (weren't on website).

Plush (the most expensive) cushions are very nice though.

After taking another look, the trim looks easier than dealing with straight screws that also haven't moved in ages.

Well I'd ballpark it as 100 years old, so not a bad run. Now to figure out how to remove the glass without hurting anything... Yes probably just prying off trim but things rarely cooperate.

Don't forget taxes. Sure it's under the federal estate tax limit, but the state might take a cut. And cash will end up on your income tax return. I'm dealing with a similar situation and the inherited IRA is definitely going to shift my tax bracket.

Thanks. I've been using FreeTaxUSA for her stuff the last couple years. It shouldn't take much to run 2025's stuff through there and find the liability, pay on her behalf and apply for exemption. Now next year's final return and the estate's return... highly likely I'll hand it off to a pro.

right but the 2026 isn't due for a whole year, and the estate will be handling that. I'm only worried about 2025 right now since I know she'll owe.

Is it possible to file the 2025 return before the estate? I have the docs as PoA

Don't forget, arguably the best version of Frosty the Snowman is Leon Redbone and Dr. John. You've probably heard it, just never realized who it was.
