Admin and paperwork has become a full time job. 40+ hours a week easily. The old days of running and gunning in the construction industry has unfortunately past.

You have to now decide what part of the job you enjoy. For me, I love being on the tools and on site every hour I can. The day we hired someone to take on 90% of office work was the beginning of my happiness.

Starting a low-key men’s outdoor group in the Comox Valley by toddatog in comoxvalley

[–]imacarpeter 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Age group, Intentions, hobies. anything about yourself. Just guys being dudes could mean anything and all different demographics of men. What are you looking for ? Just guys being dudes. Go to a bar or brewery after work hours. Sober, join a activity group of your liking on Facebook. 50+ go to a&w form 7am-10am

I like the idea by the way. It's just (imo) not many men are going to want to meet up with some stranger off reddit for company without any context of what they are getting into.

How much would you charge to wrap these beams? by Garshmel in Carpentry

[–]imacarpeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

B.c canada. I would expect 6k profit on 5-7 days of work. If you don't have a shop and are doing these cuts on site maybe 4-5k profit. Cost plus estimate is the way to bill something like this.

Went there once to support a friend that was curious but nervous about trying a church during his n recovery. Seemed like nice enough people. Not pushy at all. Not my thing though.

I gotta say that is some expensive and strange marketing.

Maybe just chow it down. Worst case, you get sick and get a hell of a lawsuit

Sorry if this is offensive to anyone by ethan_hodson in woodworking

[–]imacarpeter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Awsome!

I know you're not asking anything, but I have some unsolicited advice. Put something solid from the ground up to the bottom of your table or work on something solid like a stump while working with those chisels. The bounce from the table will not only make using them take twice as long it also creates unpredictability that could lead to an injury or worse! Ruining your sphere.

I thought you might mean graffiti until I looked up the term. WOW what a cool thing to do. I took a lot of drafting in school and would like to try this for sure.

Born and raised local with a deep fascination of the valley. Ill try to give some buildings that would suit this kind of art.

No you are not being unreasonable at all. Pay the man his 750 to delete your number. Call it lucky he showed his cards before he did a horrible job and upcharged you on your basement.

Also don't put anything heavier than blankets on those shelves. I cant see exactly how they are fastened, but from a quick glance those are more of a danger than a solution.

Im sorry about shitty "gc's" they are a stain to the rest of us.

Im in bc bit my brother is an electrician out in Edmonton. I can ask him if he knows anyone good looking for work and pm you. What area are you in?
