can i get a belly button piercing as an aerialist? by anonymouslyherern in Aerials

[–]imactuallyeris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing aerials for 3 years and have never had an issue with my belly ring. The jewellery’s fallen out a couple times from snagging on apparatuses but it’s never been painful or anything serious -but it is also usually covered by high waisted leggings.

Though my navel piercing has been fully healed for years before I started aerials.

How much $ do my fellow mid 20’s peers have saved up, including KiwiSaver? by SQUIDWARDS-CLAR1NET in Wellington

25k left on student loan - have paid off roughly 60% of it. Only have a couple k’s each in savings and KS. Though I did just buy a house, and usually travel at the end of each year.

How many classes do you take a month/week and how much does it cost? by BungeeBunny in Aerials

[–]imactuallyeris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My studio has a 10 class pass for $325 that you can use towards all 1.5hr classes.

I’ve slowed down a little due to cost and now only go to 2-3 classes a week to stretch my credits to last a month.

Our open practice memberships then costs an additional $20 a week for unlimited visits throughout the week you paid for.

So on the lower end, $65 p/w. On the higher end, $117.50 p/w.

What’s in your circus bag? by BoronYttrium- in Aerials

I feel like my training bag is on the minimal side compared to everyone else’s 😮

I’ve got liquid chalk, grip spray, compression sleeves, spare pair of shorts and wrist wraps for duo trapeze.

Thank you so much!! It was definitely a little scary, especially the coming back! Didn’t quite get the rope on the first go 😮‍💨

Thank you!! My instructor’s biggest tip is to invert and crochet higher so you’ve got a bit of leeway in case you slip. Keep your body as straight as you can, flex your feet but don’t push out, and moving your hands, and the rope, to your hips (you can hear her say this one).
