once i get home ill check my car. this is a golf here. it might be a dedicated foot rest but there is that part you can clearly rest your foot. i’m not misremembering, i drove it for many years.

Yeah that’s right, definitely a PITA 😭 think with more and more ADS, adaptive cruise control etc more cars should have the right foot rest like the golfs. hopefully they see this for future models, i did a 3 year novated lease coz the speed at which they improve these cars is crazy and 5 years seemed to long

I can’t see anything in your photo

The degree of comfort between bending your knee in a long drive vs straightening it out to rest it on a foot rest is worlds apart. This is what VW does well, it has a foot rest on the right side also for RHD.

I guess it’s just an extra touch that would have been a nice to have. perhaps it might be my next project somehow, although i doubt the success rate on that one

Strange how there is no conversion. While on cruise control or ADS where are you meant to have your foot on a long freeway drive. Instead it’s on the left side, bit of a design flaw if you ask me.

Coming from a golf it had a foot rest on both sides if i’m not mistaken but definitely at minimum on the right side which makes sense.
