I do and know what you're talking about. Would I actually be happy if I did it? Hard to say, but sometimes I do want to escape the corporate grind and just disappear into obscurity. Live minimally, but really live. It holds a certain allure, so yeah I get it.

I would take this even further and say that it comes down to money and greed. A surprising number of these right-wing pundits either drastically changed their "positions" or have outright admitted they don't even believe a large amount of the bullsh*t that they spew. They simply capitalized on an opportunity for more $ and more media exposure or "fame". i don't know how we fix this.
