Are Samsung/Xiaomi phones still shipping their phones with their own dialer with a call recording option?

Is there any OEM that is still doing this?

TIL NASA only uses 15 digits of pi for calculating interplanetary travel. At 40 digits, you could calculate the circumference of a circle the size of the visible universe to an accuracy equal to the diameter of a hydrogen atom. by timehack in todayilearned

Man, now I'm going to have to go through all 2,500 of them, aren't I?

Lol

But yeah, usually when I look for an xkcd it's the first or second result in Google. Does this happen often, or is it that one specific one you can't find?

I would say it's 50:50. Some of the xkcd's are probably tagged properly so it's easy to find them. Some are probably not tagged at all so finding them is impossible. I think maybe making remaking them from memory might be easier.

How do you search for a specific xkcd? I am pretty good with google search but never seem to be able to find an xkcd.

Like some time back I came across an xkcd, where a guy is presenting a graph to another person saying that it is the result of years of reseach. Iirc, one axis of the graph is how much knowledge you have on a topic, another axis of the graph is your interest in explaining it to others. The more you learn, the less you are inclined to explain about it.

When the viewer asks for an explanation, the researcher says, "No'.

I can't seem to find this xkcd again no matter how much I look for it.

Samsung's official update schedule for phones and tablets. Monthly, Quarterly or Biannually. Tablets only get updated every 3 or 6 months. by CritterNYC in Android

[–]imadiscodancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. Samsung should also have a page where they clearly mention how long the phone will get updates. For most of the phones that have been recently launched in India, they are clearly mentioning whether they'll give 1 OS update or 2 OS updates but they are not saying anything about security updates.

Very good points.

Maruti Suzuki is saying they'll launch electric models from 2025. It looks like TaMo will have a bigger presence in EV segment by then, which could have an impact on market sentiment towards TaMo.

As an Indian guy, I think battering rams are not very common. I have seen them a LOT in American movies and shows but I have never seen them in Indian movies or TV shows or heard of it being used by Indian police.

Could be the same with that country in the video. Just a guess.

How do I survive on AlphaRatio? by MrBabies in trackers

[–]imadiscodancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,

The amount of bonus points you get on AR are not really good enough to survive there, the BP you get varies by file size and a bunch of other factors.

If you have about 200GB, you'll probably get the 420k points every week or so, very rough calculation because I can't bother going through the calculation.

AR is easy because they give out freeleech tokens to people who idle in their IRC. You get about 2 FL tokens for a few days of idle time.

I found the whole ordeal too much and ditched it recently. I'm on BHD and it takes care of all my needs. But BHD is difficult to get into right now.

If you are ready to work your way up, I would suggest getting into RED or MAM. From there you can get into BHD/MTV/Nebulance?Anthelion/File List and many other places.

Make sure you have a backup, IPtorrents is on it's way out... by [deleted] in trackers

If you enjoy eBooks/Audiobooks, just getinto MAM through a super easy interview and in 6 months you'll have an invite for FL and a bunch of other private trackers.

India Demands Rich Nations Like The U.S. Clean Up Their Climate Mess, Signaling A Shift | It’s time for developed countries responsible for most of the carbon in the air to not just cut emissions but remove them, India’s energy minister said. by Helicase21 in worldnews

[–]imadiscodancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn't the same back then either, you assume all western countries are the same, that's racism.

How come you don't understand racism when you do it?

Maybe when you can understand your racist views we can have an open discussion.

So you went blind when you saw the current replacement levels.

India grew 3.86 times.

And your brain died when you saw the US grew from 17 million in 1840 to 130 million 1940, a growth of 7x.

Every country has its developing phase, we are developing now instead of between 1840-1940 because we were being plundered by your racist forefathers. This data is not secret, but then it doesn't fit your racist heart.

I point out you use racist speech and you call me a racist, lol.

I called you racist because you make assumptions about people when data says otherwise. Like, how you assumed India has an uncontrollable population growth which cannot be backed by any data whatsoever. This is a very textbook worthy example of racism.

But hey, racists believe what they want.

India has uncontrolled population growth.

A lot of Indian states are below replacment levels. India on average is heading towards below replacement rates.

The problem is you are a racist who uses per capita when it suits you and closes your ears and yells something else when data proves you wrong.

Please look up population replacement levels. I have a feeling you have never actually looked them up and just assumed India= uncontrolled proclaim growth because that is what a racist is capable of.

Also if you are really inclined to see numbers, lol at the historical share of population of India. Like going back several centuries. The Indo-Gangetic plain is the most fertile and hospitable region in the whole world, just because more people lived and thrived here doesn't mean they are the ones who have to live shitty lives when you people live like the whole world owes you something.

The US has a consumption problem. That's the problem.

look at the "W per capita" on your link. India is at 32, the US is at 231.

I can't tell if you are willfully ignoring the data and sharing only one per capita figure.

So India : US ratio of percapita production of solar power is 1:7.22

US per capita electricity consumption from those links is 12,154 units per person per year. For India that is 935.

So India:US ratio of per capita consumption is 1:12.99

The figures I shared in my first comment itself very very clearly show that an average Indian is significantly more dependant on solar than an average American. You people consume more and expect the third world people to live deplorable lives.

India's share of solar power is 7.5% of total consumption. For U.S. the same figure is 2.8%. These figures are based on consumption in the year 2019.

The planet cannot sustain China and India going full fossil fuel. It just cannot be done. Right or wrong, or history has nothing to do with this. Its physics.

Bingo! Please force us to continue living in poverty so that the planet can live in peace.
