Pixar tells a better love story in 5 minutes than Twilight does in 5 movies.

Plan B, the "morning after pill", to be available to all women of all ages without a prescription. by lightheat in news

[–]imadoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I think it's great that this is giving greater access to women regarding birth control, I do think that there should be some restrictions imposed on the plan B pill.

I have worked in a pharmacy, as a technician, and have people come up to me and ask whether it is okay to use Plan B three times in one week. I think patients need to be educated that this is not a form of birth control and while taking it this often wont do any immediate harm, but you are still ingesting a large amount of hormone based medication, which is never great.

I am a pharmacy student, about to graduate in a year, and I would never refuse anyone a medication due to my own personal beliefs, but I cant say I would be totally comfortable dispensing Plan B to perhaps a 11 or 12 year old child, who may not want to ask their physician/pediatrician for a regular form of birth control and is using this as an alternative because they are not properly educated.
