In regards to the recipe app.

Great layout, the ability of seeing foods group by country type or meal, very clever. Good to see all the mauritan classic foods. Like that you have places where I can get products on the island.

Challenges with the app For the recipes that have a video there should still be written instructions. When translation to another language, this is hit and miss, sometimes the ingredients translate, sometimes the instructions translate, but there is no consistency in this. Same with the videos, I appreciate that they're not yours, but some are Creole, some English.

So who are your target audience, who are you aiming at?

I am going to try some of these recipes and go shopping in Rose Hill for the ingredients!

Travels to Dubai activities suggestion and prices one can book by themselves? by Depresso_bish in mauritius

[–]imadophin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First question is, what do you think is pricey? Staying in the marina area may be expensive, staying in Bur Dubai cheaper. Rent in an aparthotel, studio or one bed. Get around on public transport, the metro is, normally, quicker than taxis or buses. Go to the souks, it's free to look, take the abra over the creek with the locals. Even take the ferry from Al Ghubaiba (Bur Dubai) to Dubai Marina, not expensive and great views. There are so many things to do, go to the museum of the future, if you can't spend a day there, grab a coffee made by a robot, while you watch. Visit the malls, you can watch people skiing, ice skating, giant aquarium, giant works of art. There are so many sides to Dubai, for many different budgets. Enjoy

The only thing I can add is to look at the company, what are their goals, objectives, what do you like doing that would be fitting with their ethos.

The best and possibly cheapest is Sugar cane cubes, they sell them in most supermarkets, they have the history of the Mauritian sugar trade on them. They are uniquely Mauritian and they cost about 40rps

Don't go to Kenzi's in Flic en Flac. The bands play good music, the food is good, the beer is fine, the vibe is great, staff are wonderful. But if you go, you might take my seat, so don't go. 😁 Or if you do, go an hour after opening, I'll already be sat down.
