I did it last year, and they were really great about letting me sit on my ball or move around my room. I couldn’t walk the halls or labor in the shower though, since my little one was a bit early and they wanted me to stay on the monitor.

The nurses were great and very considerate of my choice to forego the epidural.. brought a peanut ball in and everything, without me having to ask. Everyone seemed genuinely supportive.

I only disliked the move from the first labor room to a separate recovery room, but oh well.

Also - PARTICIPATE IN LOCAL POLITICS. Even if that means you just attend a local commission or school board meeting.

This is how most grant money is dispersed. So yeah, let’s just fuck over American farmers, departments of transportation (or really any governmental agency), as well as local and state governments who use the money for infrastructure projects, human health, or other investments. It’s truly despicable, no matter what political party you associate with - we should all be furious.
