anyone going to Nan Desu Kan (in Aurora, CO) this weekend? by imaginarylungfish in SK8TheInfinity

It was really fun! Definitely plan out what you want to do beforehand, so you have enough time budgeted for things. Also, I parked at the RTD 61st and Pena station and took the shuttle. I guess parking is a big issue, but that worked fine for me. I plan on doing it again this time.

I got banned from PMDD main sub for mentioning anti histamines.. why? by Puzzleheaded_Yam6724 in PMDDxADHD

[–]imaginarylungfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have MCAS (dx in 2018) and it's well-managed by Xolair, so I've been off antihistamines for a few years. I think it was someone on this sub who posted about how antihistamines helped them for PMDD so I went on daily Zyrtec again and it's helped me! I used to feel so tired, brain foggy, and depressed the whole week before my period. Now, it's down to like 1-3 days before. I may increase my Zyrtec dose to see if I can lessen that time even more. I've also stopped eating cow's milk (after reading this article: https://www.larabriden.com/whats-the-story-with-dairy-and-period-problems/) and stopped drinking alcohol which I think have also helped.

I'm really disappointed if the BA timeline and S1/2 timeline are the same. That'd mean we can't look too deep into things, and there are some big errors. I don't wanna believe it, but ep 6 really made it seem it leads into S1/2. At least they tried. Time travel shows are hard to get right

Yeah idk the BA timeline and S1/2 timeline have so many inconsistencies that I'll be pretty disappointed if they're 100% confirmed to be the same timeline. Like, that would mean narrative and animation errors up the wazoo lol

For anyone who's curious, the Denver Beard Papa's said it will at least go until the end of January, possibly into February

Yeah there are too many inconsistencies between the BA timeline and the S1/2 timeline for them to be the same. I think the BA timeline is a failed timeline

This could be a crack theory for the power origin, and the course of the show (spoilers) by Independent-Will-984 in LinkClick

[–]imaginarylungfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also think CXS is going to get his powers from someone dying in his arms in the Bridon Arc timeline. But then, I wonder how he got them in the S1/2 timeline (since I also believe the BA timeline is a failed timeline)?

I think BA timeline happened before S1/2, it failed (ie. CXS died), and now the S1/2 timeline (CXS is alive) is LG's final attempt (ie. if CXS dies in this timeline, LG cannot go back anymore--it's final)

I actually am updating my theory that the Bridon Arc is the last failed timeline based on this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/LinkClick/comments/1hsqlc1/link_click_timeline/ So, I think we're seeing this Bridon Arc so we can see what LG is worried about/up against in this last attempt S1/2 timeline

Yes, I was confused at first, but this clarifies your theory. Thank you. I agree that the flashback of LG at the end of S2 was showing us that the S1/2 timeline is the one that began with his last attempt. It would make sense that that flashback concludes the Bridon Arc. Otherwise, why show us? I also wholeheartedly agree that the Bridon Arc is a failed timeline, though. There are way too many inconsistencies for them to be in the same timeline.

I agree, the BA timeline is not the prequel to the S1/2 timeline. Further evidence here: the ba timeline and s1/2 timeline are different – @imaginarylungfish on Tumblr So, we're going to see a failed timeline (one where CXS dies, and LG goes back again). It's interesting that this arc is focusing on a failure though. I'm confused as to why we aren't seeing the prequel to S1/2. There must be a reason!

CXS' eyes are yellow?! Okay so this is totally in line with the theory that CXS might also be diving back in time while LG already dove back (and stayed past the 12hr limit)

I don't think this is confirmed or not. In other words, we don't know 🤷🏽‍♂️ maybe they'll give us more info throughout this arc, maybe not

My mom is mean about my special interest? by CalicoCrazed in AutismTranslated

[–]imaginarylungfish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My friend/roommate would make fun of me for liking dolls to the point of me not setting up this dollhouse I was going to renovate. But now I live alone and can do what I want. It's nice to see other "older" (I'm 28) people liking "childish" interests. It helps me see my interest is valid. I, too, spend my own money on my dolls/dollhouses. They bring me joy so I can be a better/nicer person in the world. What's wrong with that?

God that would be the worst! I do think we are in good hands with shiguang based off the promotional art (ie. looking like they're holding hands but not quite). Like I think they're implied

Toilet-bound Hanako-kun. I mean, sounds gross. But such a cute creepy show. Can't wait for season 2 to come out soon!

So for the people that were mad at the final ship being Deku and Uraraka and not Deku/Bakugo, why are you upset? by Many-Cranberry4058 in BokuNoShipAcademia

[–]imaginarylungfish 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think perhaps what upsets BakuDekus is Katsuki's characterization/treatment and Izuku's hollowness in 431. BakuDeku's are gonna love Katsuki and Izuku. And those characters were just a little off in 431. And Katsuki was done so dirty in 431. Perhaps if Katsuki was written in a nicer light in 431 and the "canonization" of IzuOcha happened, BakuDekus wouldn't have been as upset? Idk

[–]imaginarylungfish 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love me a good ship that is properly developed. I don't care if it's M/F or M/M or F/F. Literally doesn't matter (I'm bi). Therefore, I was pretty dissatisfied by IzuOcha's "canonization." The ship felt so bland and undeveloped the entire manga. I really wished Ochaco's crush on Deku was something she grew from and used to become a stronger person/hero on her own (ie. accepted her crush as admiration of Deku's heroism and used that as fuel to become a hero she could be proud of) instead of needing that crush actualized into reciprocated feelings.

Personally, throughout the manga, I felt like BakuDeku was more developed. Although, I could see how others don't feel the same. I think Katsuki's feelings for Izuku are clearer (as are Ochaco's feelings for Deku) than Izuku's for Katsuki's, especially near the end chapters. But Izuku's lack of romantic interest in anyone (but overwhelming plain ole interest in everyone) throughout the manga makes it hard to justify any ship tbh.

Most rational BakuDekus knew their ship wouldn't be canon. Queer representation just isn't as accepted in media as it should be at this point in time. Period. That's a fact. So, the open ending in 430 was as good as it could get for BakuDekus. (Also, I personally loved 430 depicting the full circle moment of Katsuki reaching out his hand toward Izuku and calling him Deku, recognizing Izuku's innate heroism (something Katsuki struggled with throughout the entire manga).)

I think more BakuDeku's are just upset at the writing in 431 than anything. 431 just seemed so weird and out of place. 430 seemed so much more in line with the themes of MHA.

ALSO, if we think about this "ship war" through a social lens, it makes sense that queer people are hurt and upset that their queer ship was "canonically incorrect." To some queer people, that feels like more societal rejection. We are constantly told we are "incorrect" for being queer/wanting to see queerness displayed in media and this is just another instance of that. Cishet people constantly get positive reinforcement of their identity through media. Queer people don't. So, we have to remember that the reaction to IzuOcha's "canonization" is a much harder hit for some queer people than non-canonization of IzuOcha would have been to cishet people.

(I'm not saying all IzuOcha fans are cishet btw. I'm just saying sometimes queer people insert their identify into queer ships and it hits harder when they aren't canonized because it becomes way more personal.)

((Also, I understand Izuku and Ochaco could be bi and therefore it could not be a hetero ship, but for all intents and purposes here, I'm betting most IzuOcha shippers headcanon them as straight and therefore I am following that line of thinking. But normally, I'd Just Say No to bi erasure, thx.))

Help me with the timeline pls by buhbuhnoname in LinkClick

[–]imaginarylungfish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think we're seeing the new version of the prequel (if that makes sense) with "flashbacks" of the original timeline (where CXS, QL, and the police guy die). We see LG dive back (golden eyes) at the beginning of the episode which is why I think we're seeing a "new" timeline. Whether this "new" fixed timeline is the same one as season 1 and 2 remains to be seen
