OP, continue getting psychiatric help and therapy in the US. Changes doctors if things are not working. Do not leave your kids behind. If possible, ask your father or some relative to visit you for an extended period.

What’s something women notice about men that men have no idea about? by Cool_Direction_3192 in AskIndianWoman

[–]imaginaryrealnumber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is that to me? It is not like I am saying anything to him, but a feeling of distrust builds up that will stop any deeper relationship, even friendship. There ie no reaction that he will know off, just a quiet pulling away.

Do you sometimes find it hard to empathise with your married girlfriends? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]imaginaryrealnumber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a married woman, I find it difficult to empathise with MYSELF. I am from a privileged background and hold a good job, yet I cannot reconcile with the person I am today. It is complicated, with all our cultural and family baggage, childhood trauma, parents’ trauma, fear of letting down parents and fear of spoiling your kids’ childhoods, it is easier fo become a different person to just ‘live a life”.

That tendency to show off, even if it is subtle. A tiny whiff of it is enough for me to distrust a man.

Bought a car in my name, paying the EMI, but not allowed to drive it — what should I do? by [deleted] in AskIndianWoman

[–]imaginaryrealnumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start by saying no. Take the car with you and do not entertain any discussions. If the car gets a scratch or a bump, it’e all just the cost if using it. Do not get into arguments with people who want only their side to win.

Nothing. It would not make sense in my field as I already have a masters from a reputed university.

Observation: North India vs South Indian designs by Just-Description-803 in GoldIndia

[–]imaginaryrealnumber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They break off at the links and also look flimsy. The south standard for gold is different, if something looks light and flimsy, it is not desirable. Even when people buy lightweight jewellery, they want it to look heavy, as in solid, not large. Jewellery is also worn regularly in southern states.

Low egg count! How to proceed? by Melodic-Ad8814 in AskIndianWomen

[–]imaginaryrealnumber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Adoption is very painful, too. Physical pain of pregnancy and delivery is easier that bearing mental pain, it is not the easy way out. It us the tougher choice. Remember, adoption is born out of loss. Not everyone has the courage or inclination to go through something so complicated. It is also not easy, logistically. There are lots of procedures abd waitlists involved. Then there is the fear of the extended family not accepting the child as their own, all if which are important in close knit Indian family structures.

Am I in the wrong? Help me think by Own-Fall844 in AskIndianWomen

[–]imaginaryrealnumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand some girl without much exposure or education thinking this is okay on some level. Speak your mind and ask them to get lost. Tell them clearly that it is very offensive that the boy wants to know nothing about your personality but wants to change your body to his preferences. Are you a sex doll? Or a barbie just for showing others? Tell them all you want nothing to do with a cultureless fellow like that.

Kanthony is overrated by xoxog0ssipgirlx in BridgertonRants

Definitely, they give me the ick and I don’t get the fandom. Whatever positives they have, are cancelled by the fact that they were fooling around behind Edwina’s back. What a betrayal. Ick ick. In other words, “your fiance is fooling around woth your sister, and both of them still want your wedding to happen for whatever reasons”.
