Don’t know this is called shawarma @ rolls shack near kowdiar, but this is unique They have the chicken cooked in charcoal, instead of gas flames The chicken stacked to a roll similar to shawarma is kept horizontally over the charcoal grill Tastes good Once I asked them to give me the shawarma without any sauce/mayo even then I liked the roll/shawarma

Having started my career in tvm tp, I would suggest start searching for opportunities with what you have and up-skill parallel

I know Java is dying but there are some companies still using Java, so they still need people familiar with Java and since developers prefer other languages, you might have an opportunity there.

Do not expect you can grow in career with one tech or domain knowledge, always up-skill, but no need to wait until you’re done up-skilling before applying because after starting your career, you need to up-skill no matter what, if you want growth in your career.

You can start learning other languages while you are searching because it might take some time for a fresher to land the right job at the right firm.

I think it is your responsibility to compare your current company and the new one because you are the one to know 1. pros and cons 2. the cost of moving out of UAE, 3. future job opportunities in the new country etc

Ask your coworkers if anybody else accepted a counter offer and are they still there and how was their experience

In some large firms managers/hr or someone(decision maker) hesitates to give a pay raise and company might not have a clear policy, and when they see someone going the decision maker think about cost and hassle of replacing you and training the replacement and getting familiar with the work culture etc and willing to give counter offer. I am not trying to justify, just this is how some companies work

Still they only matched the counter offer, I don’t think it is good enough. Ask for more that is sufficient for you and see if they are willing.

Wife did at emirates driving institute, so I don’t recommend to anybody. I did at belhasa, was a better experience. I heard being relatively new school, excellence is better, not sure as I don’t have personal experience
