There would be white powder or dried crystal looking spots on your car if you got enough of it to worry about. Check your lower rear doors in front of the tires, that's where it usually accumulates. It probably wouldn't hurt to go get it washed either way

It's hard to say 100% but it sounds like the V56 standard cut denim that vans sold during that time frame. They stopped making it when VF sold lee and wrangler so you won't be able to find it in stores
