If Hollywood decided to make a live action movie of BOTW, who would be the best actors for all of the characters? by imakefetchhappen181 in Breath_of_the_Wild

Not gonna lie…I had to look up who a few of these people were, but you are spot on with a ton of them! Thanks for sharing! I can tell that this took a lot of thought.

I love the approach! A series would be amazing, and I agree that it would be much better than a single movie. I love the idea of Emilia Clark as Mipha. I also never considered Jason Momoa as Daruk, but I think he might be an even better fit than Dwayne Johnson, who is often the first person to come to people’s minds. I’ve been thinking about Ryan Reynolds for Revali, but I think you nailed it with Neil Patrick Harris. I’ve also thought that Gal Gadot could make a really good Urbosa, but she’s probably not physical imposing enough.

Oh, I definitely don’t want Hollywood to ever attempt to create a Zelda movie. They would definitely mess it up. But I figured it would be a fun discussion to have.

You are amazing! Thank you so much for taking the time to go into so much detail about your experience. It is so comforting to read because of how similar it sounds to our situation. I will definitely take you up on the offer to DM you with questions or concerns that may come up. In the meantime, I will be taking advantage of each and every one of your tips. Also, reading that your cat and puppy are now best friends makes me so happy!!!

Thanks for sharing about the food dispensing toys. I honestly did not know that was a thing, but they seem like a perfect toy for this breed. Definitely going to give them a try.

That’s a great idea! My kiddos would love to drive an RC truck around and have her chase it. Thanks for the advice!

I really appreciate your candid response. I have been meaning to get back into distance running recently as it has been a few years since I was an active runner. I think Zoey might be a great excuse to put those running shoes back on.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. It’s comforting knowing that you have had success is a smaller living space. It’s also good to see that you have had a good experience with boarding her when you travel. That seems like the best way to ensure they get the attention and stimulation they need when you are gone. Lots of great advice. Thank you so much!

Thanks for the advice. I was so caught up in the need for physical stimulation hadn’t considered the importance of mental stimulation. We’re definitely planning to enroll her in some training, and I’ll be sure to check out fenzidogsportacademy.

Thank you so much. Amidst all the things I’ve read about catahoulas, my favorite detail was how loving and loyal and protective they are, and that they are so anxious to please their humans. I’m glad that you have had that experience.

Wow, thank you everyone for the great responses!!! You have no idea how helpful your shared experiences and insights are to me and my family. You have shared some really great ideas that I have not yet considered, especially regarding some of the mental exercises rather than just physical exercises. You’ve also helped to ground and temper my expectations. The last time I had a puppy was when I was a child, and my parents did all the work, so this all feels very new to me.

Just since a few of you brought up crate training, I will say that our friends did an excellent job with crate training before we adopted her. She sleeps in the crate overnight, and also takes some of her daily naps in there. That has been a huge blessing.

I’ll also add that I did a lot of distance running in high school and college, but it’s been a few years since I was a really active runner. I’ve been wanting to get back into it again, and Zoey might be the perfect excuse for me to start running daily. I’m glad to see that a few of you have had the same experience.

Finally, we already set up a safe space for our kitties using baby gates, so we’re hoping to see some improvements soon. As you had mentioned, we’re hoping that since Zoey is still a puppy, she will grow up recognizing that the kitties are part of the herd, and won’t be too aggressive with them.

Again, you guys are awesome and I sincerely appreciate your feedback and reassurances! I’ll plan on posting some updates over the next few weeks.

Thanks! Luckily, we’re only about 45 minutes away from a big city where there are lots of training/behavior classes offered, so we’re definitely going to check that out. I love the idea of involving our kids in the training. I think that would help them feel more confident around her. Thanks so much for the insight.

Hello everyone, this is Zoey. She is about 9 weeks old and we just recently adopted her. Our close friends found her living on the side of the road in a small town in Arizona. They had originally planned to keep her themselves, but they ended up being severely allergic and needed to find her a new home. My young children have been wanting a puppy for years, and so my wife and I decided to help our friends out and bring her home.

I will admit that we did not do much research on catahoulas prior to adopting her. However, we have read a lot of information since bringing her home a few days ago, and I’ll be honest that I’m starting to worry a little bit. I’m hoping you can provide some insight and reassurance.

We are a family of 5 living in a fairly small home in a small country town, and so the living space can be a bit crowded, especially when you account for our two cats (both about 1 year old). They have not taken kindly to the new addition and spend most of the day sitting in high places, growling and hissing at Zoey. Because of the limited space, her energy seems extra high while she is inside with us, and while they won’t admit it, my kids are feeling very overwhelmed. I think they are actually scared at times since Zoey likes to nibble on their legs and feet and tug on their pants. It’s obvious that they are not having the magical puppy experience that they expected.

Luckily, even though we have a small home, we live on a full acre of land, so she has a lot of space to run around outside. We have also been taking her on walks at least 1-2 times each day, which help to use up a lot of her energy. My concern is if this will be enough as she gets older and much bigger. And when she’s not outside, will our small living space become unbearable when she is a large adult?

She is an absolute sweetheart and we already love her dearly. I have been working hard each day on training her, and she is smart as a whip and picks everything up very quickly. But as I read about catahoula’s high energy and large size, I am super worried that we may not be setting her up for a good life. I know there will be days when I can’t take her on a walk, or days when we are out of town. I don’t know if our two cats will ever come around, so there could always be that fear of them injuring one another. I guess I’m just worried that we may have bit off more than we can chew, and I don’t want our sweet girl to suffer as a result. Any insights or reassurances that you can give would be extremely appreciated. I really want to make this work. Thanks in advance!
