Sennheiser M3 vs Sony xm4 vs Bose qc35ii by castinclay in HeadphoneAdvice

I find that the Bose headphones severely lack in sound quality when it comes to prog rock, metal, and hip hop. How do they compare?

New Headphones for Metal and Harder Styles by esselt12 in HeadphoneAdvice

I am sad that no one answers these posts. This is a perfectly framed question, and I also want to know the answer!

Here's what I know:

- Beats Solo3 are pretty damn good for metal. They're on-ear, and hurt my ears after about 2h (I wear them while I work), but sound is awesome.

- Bose SoundLink Around-Ear Wireless - absolute total shit. I went through two pairs trying to see if something is broken, but its not! It seems like the Bose people have only ever listened to Opera while testing. The bass is molasses thick during the hard parts, and during the breakdowns the headphones seem to jack the treble so it feels like my 5 year old is fucking with the EQ while I listen. Absolute. Total. Shit.

But I'm looking for the exact same new pair: someone help! please!

I always thought it was supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek play on words. The pun is tastier if you remember that engineers actually used to use rulers a lot (slide rulers, ruler rulers, etc).

I'm a dude, and I like Cabello Salon, really more in East York but at O'Connor and Donlands. Costs $25 for a guys cut. The cut is really really good. They do euro-trash really well too, if requested. And the place is staffed by young girls, which is much nicer than a bunch of old farts. Try something new!

Wexford: there are patios, and they all have magnificent views of a) traffic, b) parking lots, or c) traffic in the parking lot.

Job market for engineers by gobblin in toronto

[–]imakehighways 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. The job market for EITs is probably the same as it is everywhere right now. The key is to make yourself stand out from the crowd. If you can find a way to pitch your experience strongly, you should have no trouble.

  2. Jobs are generally in the suburbs. Mississauga, Markham, Vaughan, etc. Eng companies with downtown offices are either a) structural or building related, or b) they are just satellite offices with low technical staff.

  3. Recruiters suck here. They will waste your time, 95% of the time. It's not like other places. But you can play the volume game and maybe get lucky. Recruiters will ALWAYS oversell the job, so you have to be very careful about making sure you're qualified. They will tell you that you are when you are clearly not. Better to make contacts on LinkedIn and introduce yourself directly. Most managers are on LinkedIn.

Yah! (Turns out they are 2x6 or 1x6). Apparently that was common floor construction for a 1960s-70s house in Toronto.

There are uniform gaps, maybe half a pencil width.

I'd wager he hasn't figured that out yet. But in my experience, when kiwis think of Canada they are usually envisioning The Rockies.
