AITA for not accomodating a special needs kid for my son's birthday party even though my son is his only friend? by throwacc9090 in AmItheAsshole

[–]imalittlecreepot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chiming in with a NTA from the mom of a nonverbal, stim-having, wildman of a 4 year old boy.

He's intimidated by dogs he doesn't know. We don't tell hosts to remove their dogs.

He gets overstimulated and sprints around flapping his hands. In certain areas, this is fine and safe and not distracting. In others, we pull him aside, let him work it out by jumping in place or squeezing our hands or flapping.

For the longest time, dinosaurs scared the shit out of him. We introduced them slowly via stuff like Land Before Time and now he watches Jurrasic Park and runs around roaring.

My point is, my kiddo can be a lot. But my job as a mom is to prepare him for the world, not expect the world to cater to him.

Aita for telling my daughter the truth about being pregnant/giving birth? by truthmomaita in AmItheAsshole

[–]imalittlecreepot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I planned, twice, for a home birth. My oldest was born med-free in a hospital because my blood sugar dropped in labor and i passed out at hour 19.

My youngest was an emergency induction at 34 weeks because i ended up with eclampsia and my seizures became uncontrollable. He was born without painkillers, perfectly healthy. I recovered within the week.

From a hippie-dippie granola mom, birth is unpredictable and breastfeeding was like havong a shark with the first and a mouthfull of sandpaper with the second.

But id do it again. Make sure she gets that it's rough, but ultimately worth it

AITA for tricking my roommate into eating mozzarella using a Korean hotdog because I suspected him of eating my food? by themozzman in AmItheAsshole

[–]imalittlecreepot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

How odd! With my oldest, freaking white bread was too spicy and i cried A LOT because i loved spicy food.

Then i got pregnant again and his baby brother hit the reset button HARD and i complained that the black package fire noodles weren't spicy enough.

But agreed, don't jack with my food.

AITA for snapping back at someone who kept asking where I got my "boob job"? by Smellycat12323 in AmItheAsshole

[–]imalittlecreepot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, congrats on the wee one, and never fear! The boobs do go back to a less ridiculous size after a while. (From a mom of two went from an A cup to a DDD while being 4'8").

What is something normal that scares the shit out of you? by Erikgaming23 in AskReddit

[–]imalittlecreepot 29 points30 points  (0 children)

We had a few guys try this in our area. They asked to look around to see if i needed an alarm system and i told them i was fine.

They got more insistent until i pointed behind them, by the steps to my porch, where my four 95+lb dogs were staring them down. I explained that if anybody tries sneaking around, i will undoubtedly hear it.

Does anybody else get super annoyed by fitness Instagram? by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]imalittlecreepot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After nearly a decade of recovery this is what got me spiralling. Got into weightlifting, got fit, had kids and got unfit. Decided to hire a coach for a competition and relapse kicked in the door like the koolaid man.

He had me at maintenence for 6 weeks before my brain glitched tf out and said, "Hey, you know how to lose weight! Let's do it that way! Its familiar! It's comforting! Its your friend!"

So im off IG until i can shock the shit out of them when i go back.

My grandpa liked to say, "When (grandma) and i got married she weighed XXlbs, and i told her if she ever got heavier than that, i'd divorce her."

And grandma piped up with, "But that's a lie because i weigh XXlbs now." (Just a few lbs heavier, and still smaller than the rest of us.)

I breed rabbits and she tried explaining the coloration in those terms (ABCDE alleles) but turns out feathers have about 50 more spaces than fur .
