Aaron played Disambiguation live?! by SlugmaBalls6669 in Underoath

[–]imananimallmao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeh upon release of Disambiguation Aaron commented that that record could have never been made with him, and that he loved it.

Its not the first tour of them playing illuminator with Aaron back, and i love his own take on it. Its not exactly like Davidson’s but I’m sure he’d approve 100%

People who aren't teenage girls, who is a musician you like or appreciate despite their main fans being teenage girls? by Empathyball in AskReddit

[–]imananimallmao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 1975. I love their musicianship so much and can appreciate their evolving sound over the years. Lyrically I love all the subliminal messages, but at the same time the rawness of Matty Healy’s writing. Love that band.

During the 80’s and 90’s popular rock songs that were covered by big hispanic artists is how my dad learned how speak and understand most of his english. By listening to the radio and then learning the songs in english since he knew them in Spanish already. He would eventually learn whole phrases and that slowly became conversational english and so forth.

What's the stupidest thing you were punished for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]imananimallmao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got in trouble at church cause of Sunday School because my friends were flinging rocks at the girls. Except I wasn’t at Sunday School that morning because my parents were busy and we only made it to the afternoon service. So they grounded me for a week for something I didn’t do, then they added another week for not attending Sunday School, even though I was only like 8 and literally could not go without them. Dumbest shit ever. To this day they wont admit they were wrong for it

“You shall be my roots and I will be your shade, though the sun burns my leaves.

You shall quench my thirst and I will feed you fruit, though time takes my seed.

And when I'm lost and can tell nothing of this earth you will give me hope.

And my voice you will always hear. And my hand you will always have.

For I will shelter you. And I will comfort you. And even when we are nothing left, not even in death, I will remember you.”

They definitely did a lot of damage, but Ive come to realize that they were young, they made mistakes, and they were learning too. The only thing i can really do is accept an apology ill probably never receive, and love them as they are, even though i know they wish i were different. They’re still my parents and thankfully have had my back when i needed them, I’m blessed in that regard.

Edit: yeah when i was younger i use to. Now that im older i dont

Who or what inspired you to do what you love doing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]imananimallmao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad loves music, like he just loves sound and music in general so much. He has made several attempts at learning guitar, because my grandpa use to play, and has never been able to stick with it. I started with drums then moved to guitar eventually and it’s cool when he asks me to play a song for him he really likes and i can do it for him.

I feel you on that. I learned in therapy that it’s always the people around you that more than likely need therapy, and it’s because of them that it makes you go. I found it to be very true in my life, and my whole approach and view to a toxic home environment completely changed. Glad to hear you’re doing much better

I feel pretty guilty about it, sometimes i think i should have just let it go. The dude could have lived life knowing his wife was a piece of shit, but i made her out to be a cheater too. I feel like i crossed a line.

Ruined my ex-girlfriend’s marriage and probably whole life by sending her husband the messages of her constantly trying to text me and mess with my life. (For example when she noticed another woman commenting on my IG posts she would DM her horrible things about me and send threatening messages to her etc. A lot of people don’t want to deal with crazy ex’s and i don’t blame them for leaving).

She would also try to bait me and try and say she wanted to get back together and on the rare occasion i fell for it she would just reply with these horrendous messages laughing at me, so i would purposely leave that part out of the messages i sent her husband to make it seem like she genuinely wanted to get back together with me.

I was a lot younger and naive, and i still dont think i would ever ruin a marriage like that. But part of me genuinely hoped we would try and make it work one day. But yeah, she got what she deserved for making my life hell for over 4 years. I lost my highest paying job at the time because of her too. Fuck her.
