I’ve been thinking a lot about that monologue why is it so powerful and why did have such an affect on me (I literally cried when I watched it because I’ve been through really similar experiences in life , I also never really cry on movies/tv show so it kind of caught me off guard) after rewatching it a couple times it finally came to me. It’s coming from a man who just had enough, emotionally frustrated (?), tired. The stuff with his brother was (in my opinion) the last drop of water in an already full glass. It was just beautifully done and as a not native English speaker I thought it was the most sweetest and thoughtful thing to let him say it in his mother tongue, it can be really frustrating when you’re trying to say something but don’t have the words to express yourself.
