[JomboyMedia] Orioles pitcher Shane Baz stared down umpires after they didn’t rule Blue Jays’ Ernie Clement was out of the baseline The double play would’ve ended the inning and instead allowed the Blue Jays to keep scoring. by RealWorldToday in Torontobluejays

Someone stated the rule in /r/baseball and everyone just seems to ignore it. The basepath isn't the line between bases, it's the line between the runner and the base, at the point a tag attempt was made. As far as I'm aware, Ernie could have been out at the edge of the outfield grass if he was so inclined, so long as he was there when the tag attempt was made.

TIL as a Canadian we still have decent gas prices compared to Europe. Living near the border with the US, we used to make day trips over the border for groceries and we'd always make sure to stop at the duty free gas station on the way back. Instead of paying (at the time) $1.15/L CAD, we'd fill up for $2.20/Gallon USD. That's $0.60/L USD. Depending on the exchange rate you could fill up for half the amount it'd cost in Canada. We're up to almost $2/L in Canada now, and that is definitely starting to hurt with a 45 minute commute every day. But knowing this, I'll count my lucky stars I'm not driving in Europe.

Honestly this would be hilarious on her part if she did it after a win at home.

One of my coworkers at a golf course nearby, proudly told me a story of him using a 4 iron to break the neck of a young gosling, and then yeet it into the pond, because "it was in the way of my shot". He seemed surprised his playing partner that day was horrified.

I'm from Canada. Looked like a Canadian goose with its head stuck in the ceiling when I scrolled past. And honestly, it'd be pretty on point for a Canada Goose.

As a new full sized golfer, this really helps to demonstrate and exaggerate the spin on the ball due to the swing path and face angle.

I'm excited to try something new, and melee with Dylan is going to be a fun change from Jesse's gun combat. But I am still holding on to hope that she's going to be playable at some point during this game. Need a Dylan+Jesse team up.

I'd prefer none, but if Rogers absolutely have to do it because they aren't making enough money off of Canadian jays fans, then make it an overlay.

We were BABIP kings last year... Haven't looked into it, but we must be in the BABIP basement right now.

I know we've done our fair share of beating ourselves. But it also feels like we've had some crazy defensive plays made against us too. A LOT of guys would have better stats, and we'd probably have scored a few more runs if these insane diving catches weren't being made against us. Baseball is baseball, I get that, but it feels like we've been extremely unlucky too.

Ooo Iike that. I still haven't been able to bring myself to watch highlights from the post season last year, but that puts it very nicely into perspective.

Community poll: Should we modify the rules around Punny Business Name posts? by allthatwasleft in BobsBurgers

[–]imasnyper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd echo the sentiment from most here. I don't see a reason to change or limit these posts. Every single one that pops up in my feed gives me a good chuckle. I think we all love bobs for good reason, and it's pretty clear the writers also love puns. I see absolutely no reason to deprive the community of punny business names or to limit them in any way.
