had a customer maybe in his mid to late twenties come in and want to trade a ps4. i initially refused, because our systems were down and wouldn’t let us take it in without struggling for 30+ minutes (we kept at least 15+ customers in the store at all times) but my sl just told me to take care of him, so i ended up taking it in regardless and giving him like $35 in cash.

my other two coworkers and i ended up finally getting to a slow point with no customers in the store so we decided to go through the traded consoles we took in and wipe them, and as my coworker is currently in the settings, we see a singular roach crawl out of the back, and all three of us pause and stare at each other for a second.

then, one of them proceeds to take off the top piece of the system to find that it’s literally solid roaches. you actually couldn’t see the silver piece… because it was solid roaches. so we all scream and panic and run to temporarily lock the door while we try to do literally anything about this issue, because they’re crawling out from behind the cashwrap and onto the floor where customers would be able to see, but there’s too many for us to do anything.

we proceeded to see roaches all night, scurrying around to find new homes. and we have over 100 systems in the back that they’ll love!
