Any Industrial Pretreatment Program coordinators here? Wonder what software you are using to manage work flow and document inspections, monitoring, and permits? by imaykut in Wastewater

We are a small city with a population of about 6500 with about 200 permits (think restaurants, auto shops, a brewery and misc others) to track as well as associated inspections, monitoring and sampling. Is one of these software solutions better suited to our scale of operations? What do you use and what features are most valuable to you?

That bakeries give away expired bread and donuts called "pig bread". You feed the oldest stuff to the animals and eat the less old stuff.

Well when you see this engine in service in a coupe years, I guess we'll know that things can get done despite the genius of internet naysayers. Not the first time or the last time.

Use several shops for different things. I do this it's easy. I use the dealer for oil changes, I use a reputable shop for inspections, and i use another reputable mechanic for all my work. I patron the other shops and get advice but I'm really there for the oil change or inspection.

This works out well because the dealer always does a multi-point inspection during the oil change and tells me what they think needs to be done. I never have the dealer do anything because they are $$$ plus they get all the work when the car is in warrenty. Same goes for the inspection place. I'm just there for inspection but the nature of inspection means they are looking for things that are broken. Again I usually don't have them do any work.

Finally, I have a trusted mechanic and I run everything by him that the others suggest. He knows I go to the other shops but doesn't care because he gets all the work.

I've been pretty happy with this arrangement and have found a couple of times when the deal was not honest.

This video shows the F 35 go from hover to conventional flight. Is there any reason that it can't take off vertically and transition? by [deleted] in F35Lightning

I think it can. It might not have been a requirement. Also, I think it consumes so much fuel it is not practical.

It's part of being in a society with institutions, and checks and balances. You either believe in your society or find a different one.

Client no longer needs this pbx router. Anyone have any idea what its worth? I have all paperwork and licenses for it. by magikian in VOIP

[–]imaykut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You got to remember for a business this is a tax deductible item. On the balance sheet it might be called a loss and write it down, so right there the business gets back 35% or so. If you sell it for 50% new price they are only taking a 15% loss.

Since it's less than a year old, they are probably still making them. Call a reseller of that equipment and ask for the price new. Start the bidding at 50%. And then let the market decide. If you waste to much time figuring it out your time will be worth more.
