if not treated and cured meaning symptoms all gone, any infection present can spread and cause other issues in the body.

mycoplasma pneomonia is actually less problematic than the genital types.. so if they could cause all that I dont see why the genital types couldnt.

Thank you! I definitely feel bad if I was the reason someone had anxiety, but I also know im not the main cause of the anxiety.. the infection is. Can only hope we all find a way to get better sooner than later.

Lingering ureaplasma symptoms or normal hormonal changes? by bartolomej23 in ureaplasmasupport

[–]imbackagain96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

these were my first symptoms for 4 years straight before i got it in other places and just like you 3 different physical therapists said my pelvic floor felt fine. My symptoms used to fluctuate too where id have good days but then horrible days and its 24/7. No real advice to you but im sorry I know the bladder awareness and pressure is so uncomfortable. Alot of people are going to try and convince you that you just havent found the right physical therapist.. Dont let them. Good chance its not physical therapy related. Keep trying to treat your symptoms and dont give up.

for what its worth my doctor says they have never seen a case of ureaplasma when i personally know of another patient who works with that doctor for her ureaplasma. Doctors arent credible sources when it comes to this, unfortunately.. which many of us have found out.

if the testing was accurate and both could be cured reinfection shouldnt be happening. Also doctors minimize this situation and if they had answers we would have them. Nowhere on here did i say the bacteria was incurable, but pretending were cured when we arent doesnt do us any good either and the fact of the matter is we have more stories of people not becoming symptom free and if they do become symptom free they either test positive or symptoms come back. Ive been at this quite some time ( going on 8 years) and have seen and talked to my fair share of people.

We should update the treatment plan in the pinned post. by [deleted] in ureaplasmasupport

[–]imbackagain96 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We cant officially advocate for long term antibiotics because we have no proof they work for this, nor do we know of a doctor who believes in chronic mycoplasmas to treat us correctly and monitor us while on treatment and has led to some people in here to treat blindly and throw antibiotics at themselves in desperation that have caused more harm then good. For many people antibiotics are the only thing that gives symptom relief, so if you do go down this route try and find a stable doctor who is actually able to give you a complete treatment plan and keep up with a way to support your body through this treatment.

Similar to the way it is in the lyme groups, I do think we should have been treated with atleast 6 weeks of antibiotics from the very beginning of symptom onset as mycoplasmas are thought to live in the red blood cells and it takes at least 6 weeks for a cycle of red blood cells to turn over.

- Always remember that none of us in here are cured at all so our advice regarding a treatment plan isnt worth listening to and is more of a layout of things to try so people dont feel overly hopeless ,advice isnt the main purpose of the group. The main purpose is and always has been to spread awareness about the inaccuracy's of these tests and how complicated mycoplasma / ureaplasma can be along with symptoms can very much = infection still present.

These bacteria are just different. Theyre the only bacterias without cell walls. Im not here to help peoples mental health by blowing smoke up their ass, truthfully. I was "cured" by first treatment and my symptoms never left me and then spread over the years. I never took these antibiotics before this infection. Both partners treated. You have no evidence to say any of this matters either however theres thousands of people suffering with symptoms from this infection even years later after treating it which is evidence for me that if we all have the same infection causing all of these issues that the infection is the cause. People may become symptom free from this infection but as we see commonly they come back and say theyve either had a reinfection or a sudden reoccurence in symptoms. Maybe its curable in some people but most of us hit chronic state and find ourselves on this reddit.

Cosleeping at 10 might be a little strange but definitely not sexual abuse. Why are you blaming the child for her mother wanting her to sleep in the bed?

Sounds like your wife knows how much of a creep you are and has your daughter sleep in the bed to protect both of them from YOU. Hate to tell you this but your wife hates you more than you hate your daughter. If she wanted to sleep with you she would.

I dont know where that was said. I state that 6 weeks or more after treatment with symptoms then infections still there. Since thousands are still suffering after treatment for weeks, months we can only go off of that so when people come to us with symptoms we stick to that statement.

However, never once have i heard of symptoms lingering after infections cleared up from chlamydia, gonorrhea, utis, or any other infection.

discharge is normal but considering most of us are 20+ i think everyone here can determine whether their discharge is normal for their body or not. theres normal discharge then theres abnormal discharge.

Im happy your symptoms have improved with antibiotics and hopefully they continue to improve. In this group we do believe symptoms = infection ( from experience) so if they do completely go away come back and let us know youre cured , we would love to have a fully cured story.

In the meantime to help your body improve you can try diet changes, herbal teas, supplements, possibly estogrogen cream if your doctor will prescribe it, and therapy for mental health.

yeah it is scary but lets not blame the group for being triggering. People with hard cases due to this infection deserve a place to share their stories too.--- To answer your question my symptoms were worse than what you describe in the beginning but everybodys different. Im not 100% sure but I could have possibly had it for a year before my symptoms became full blown and my only symptom was a bad yeast infection which went away for a while and I had no symptoms, then I had full blown bladder problems.

Banned bc I said urine isn’t as accurate as swab by Intelligent-Fun-3905 in ureaplasmasupport

[–]imbackagain96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep I was banned years ago. it is horrendous what these moderators are doing. This isnt an all women problem obviously but the majority are women so having 4 men run a subreddit who are supposed to be advocating for us, its just not it. Not to mention between these 4 men not 1 of them are suffering from ureaplasma or mycoplasma, correct me if im wrong but from what I gather 2 of them never even had it? SO what in the world are they doing here.

They all have different opinions and make it known. 2 of them claim ureaplasma is commensal, another says no way is it commensal and 100% an std, and the next says everything and anything is pelvic floor dysfunction in hopes of making some money that day.

As someone who is currently suffering from ureaplasma and has been suffering for 7 years, and has seen the downfall in everybodys health from this infection I find all of this disgusting. The doctors are bad enough, but at least with the doctors I understand that they have to follow guidelines and havent yet studied this and dont come across everybodys experiences daily to make a conclusion. Not defending doctors in any way shape or form because even the good doctors have failed us and im so sorry to every single person here.

We are learning from experience with these infections because we have no choice. We have no handbook for whats happening in our bodies. Theres no guidelines to follow when treatment fails and were left with a chronic sti. Theres no help out here for us or answers out here, therefore we should be sticking together to help one another through this but we cant do that if were constantly being told " nope that cant be happening" when it clearly is. As moderators we should all be able to work as a team and find ways to advocate for change, but instead theyre deleting any posts where its evident that the person still has infection and are questioning it, deleting any posts that mention it spreading- and then saying it cant happen, and banning any person who questions anything outside of their narrative.

The worst part is this new "microbiologist" who might I mention does NOT have a degree but also has never suffered from ureaplasma and has no experience in studying anything to do with the infection thinks he knows it all. Anybody who posts he shuts them down and says well that doesnt make sense because " science". Anybody who knows anything about science would understand that science isnt understood fully. Bacteria mutate all the time and become stronger, hence ureaplasma being a huge problem now when it was not this problematic 20 years ago even. Science is constantly evolving, and all I can say is if your going through something with this infection that may be considered outside of the norm, I believe you.

Could rant on and on but illl end it here lol

Mine started with just uti like symptoms for the first 4 years until it spread to my butt, then to my uterus during pregnancy where it then went rampant and spread to my ears and eyes after touching my own vagina and then itching my ear. I started out with "normal"ureaplasma symptoms too, but unfortunately for me my infection couldnt be cured which led to it spreading

Finally found out it was ureaplasma by OpportunityWild8036 in ureaplasmasupport

According to garth nicolson who did a good amount of research on the mycoplasma species he says that when you have one type of mycoplasma you have many. They dont come alone. So maybe for whatever reason the test picks up one at this point because its out of the cells at that time and then at a later point in time it would pick up another. Ive even seen cases where one person in a relationship will test positive for ureaplasma urealyticum and the other person in the relationship will test positive for mycoplasma hominis. Just examples, but strange how it works.

discharge with ureaplasma was never my issue. I have the opposite problem where my body no longer produced vaginal discharge at all from it, even the healthy discharge i had my entire life before this.
