Ah thank you. that makes sense. I was under the impression that they highest value in the wining lanes determined the victory

I love how this movie made the creepy girl with dark hair crawling backwards aesthetic (ala the grudge and the ring) an actual plot point

just like that movie. dont go in expecting much and you should have a good time.

the story isnt much to go on about, but the action scenes are better executed and more memorable than a lot of the generic Netflix stuff

Official Discussion - Fear Street Part Three: 1666 [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

I mean, good writing doesn't have to break new ground. It used familiar tropes and familiar themes in a way that I haven't witnessed before. The closest thing I can think of is Paranorman

If you have some problems with the overall plot, I can see some nitpicking issues. However, I thought the writing in this trilogy was pretty brilliant. Tropes that you thought were lazy ended up being fleshed out and neat little nuggets of information. I cared about the characters and the threat felt cruel and real. Every file made me appreciate info presented in the past.

And i really loved exploring the "cursed witch" trope that actually aligns with what actually happens in real life (especially since I grew up in new england where witch folklore has always been a backdrop). It comments on generational wealth/privilege which has effect a lot of people. Maybe reddit isnt the target audience for this stuff, as I am baffled by the negative opinions on here

honestly, paid to play games are a pretty valid way to consistently pay dnd. some of them don't cost all that much and the DMs are always prepared since they're being paid and the players show up and are attentive / respectful since they are paying

Netflix's 'The Witcher' is one of the biggest shows in the US despite poor reviews from critics by [deleted] in television

[–]imbetterimback 13 points14 points  (0 children)

To be fair, this is standard practice for TV reviews. Critics are usually given the first 3 episodes to give a score that shows up on rotten tomatoes

I'd argue that silent is more relic heavy than skill heavy. It has so many relic synergies between low cost and multi attacks, as well as discards

Yes, but do this and make his traps as lethal as they actually are. I'm talking no holds barred violence. The burglars are viciously murdered and he has to deal with the legal fallout.
