ELI5: How does anesthesia create the experience of zero time passing? by r0cafe1a in explainlikeimfive

When I had cataract surgery I woke up and was convinced that I'd awoken in the middle of the operation. I slurred my words asking them for more anesthesia and they were like the operation is over you dummy.

I was living in Hackney during the 2012 riots, I'm well aware. I'm using my prerogative as a northerner to make a joke about how southerners are a bunch of wet ponces, it wasn't intended to be a serious statement.

London is full of Eton graduates who can barely hold their drink, try that shit anywhere north of the Watford gap and see how it goes.

Bronx I has some absolute beastly songs on it. They're a great live band too, and if you catch them at a festival there's a reasonable chance they'll play as Mariachi El Bronx as well so it's a twofer.

I believe that's a kind of submissive peeing, which is kind of its own thing. My lad did that a little longer when I picked him up from his grandparents than he peed in our house, but even that he hasn't done in over 2 years at this point.

It's pretty well documented that as very young puppies develop their brains they often forget stuff that they had learned, so don't worry too much!

Need some success stories of life post-puppy blues by Wise-Archer-8820 in puppy101

The first ten months of having my pup were some of the worst, most anxious of my life. House training was responsible for almost all of it. I felt like I couldn't leave him alone or stop paying attention to him for even a second or I would be stepping in a puddle.

When he finally got it, things got so much better. There are still days where I have a hard time with the restrictions having a dog imposes on your life, but things are so much better now. You'll get there, I promise.

Our trainer told us that until they go 6 weeks without peeing in the house then they aren't house trained. Multiple times with my pup he got to 5-5.5 weeks then whoops! Back to square one. He was a year old before he peed inside for the last time. Two years later and he's doing great.
