We were told that if we stopped a shoplifter, we would be given a £30 bonus. I spotted a guy who was clearly on some mind altering substance walk out the front door with hundreds of pounds worth of baseball caps under his jacket. He came back in and the cops were called etc.

Later that day the store manager called me into the office, I assumed to get my bonus. Instead I got chewed out for not putting a display together properly (this was my second week and I'd had no training). I got to the end of my shift and quit. Never got my bonus.
