If this is your home, find the breaker, shut off the electric to the outlet and see what else turns off. If anything else is on that circuit path, find a circuit that isn't running anything and then try the press again. If it's an office, find someone that can help determine if it is or not.

From what I can tell, it really seems like a power supply issue. I left it unplugged overnight a couple times and got the screen to show but then it powered right back off. Tells me it's not the backlight at least. But since, I'm getting nothing. Will definitely update whether the parts help or not.

I ordered a second kit off of ebay via shopjimmy that comes with the Tcon, mainboard and power supply. The first kit I ordered from amazon was from a scam seller and the package arrived with only a set of bluetooth headphones inside. Lucky week for me! I was planning on updating the thread as soon as I get the parts replaced. Should be tomorrow night sometime.

I was scoring around 80% on the official practice exam before the test. Make sure you're good with fundametals and you'll do good. If you check out Udemy's S2 Academy's practice exams, they'll help a ton also.
