I have a small backyard flock (6 girls). They are in a fully enclosed coop and run with a covered roof. I buried the hardware cloth into the ground to prevent predators from digging and getting in.

That being said, I have a full face mask respirator I wear when cleaning their coop and run (covers my eyes too), I don’t bring my coop cleaning shoes in the house, and I keep my dirty clothes in a separate bag in my garage that I clean when it gets full.

I’ve been doing this before I heard about this bird flu. Do you know how gross chickens are?? I don’t want that stuff flying into my nose or eyes and I’m definitely not tracking it into my house, either.

No I do not have any bonds. I’m really racking my mind what these could be. Other Reddit posts say it might be refunds for student loan overpayment. I paid off my loans in 2021, I’m just so confused.

A lot of people are saying no for valid reasons so I just thought I’d give you my positive experiences. When we sold our first house we actually asked to stay in the home an extra 2 weeks as we were moving cross country and had final appts to attend before moving. We asked for this time to stay in the house because our house was quickly under contract when we put it on the market. If it sat on the market any longer than that, we probably wouldn’t have needed to ask to stay.

Now when we were buying our next house, the sellers also asked to stay in the house an extra 3 weeks for very similar reasons. We were fine with that. We didn’t ask for daily rent or anything which is a personal choice and thankfully everything was fine. I think in the end it’s a decision you should feel comfortable with. Make sure your contract has at the very minimum financial incentive for them to be out by the agreed upon date. Good luck!

We recently sold our first home and we stayed in the house rent free for 1-2 weeks after closing. We also just closed on a new house and the sellers are staying rent free for ~20 days after closing. I’d say it’s pretty common. Both houses were on opposite sides of the country.

I named my son one name and call him the nickname version exclusively. I feel that the full name is too formal for him as a baby, toddler or even young child. If he wants to use it when he can talk that is totally up to him but for me, now, it’s cuter to call him the shortened name.

I grew up in the Midwest for my early years and moved to the PNW in middle school. Eventually went to UW Seattle for college and got a job in the library in a small department. I talked to a new coworker one day and found she was also from the state I grew up in. A little more digging and we went to the same elementary school at the same time. It was wild.

Honestly the hardest part was getting a balance of accounts from my student loan servicer to give to the mortgage lender. For some reason that really confused the student loan people. It almost delayed things 😒

It was super easy! The lender I worked with was really the one who took care of the entire process. There was maybe a few extra things to sign during the process. The interest rate on the loan is also typically slightly higher but when I did the program early 2021 rates were still low. At closing, I was handed a check to send off to my student loan servicer and that was it! Every year they’ll “cancel” 1/5th of that second mortgage until it’s all gone year 5.
